What a disappointment. Loved The Sopranos. Anticipated the prequel that would give us insight into how our favorite characters came to be. What I got was a disjointed film that felt like eating ramen noodles. It filled a couple of hours, but was bland and unsatisfying. The plot was like a patchwork quilt with no thread to adequately tie the pieces together. Some of the performances were very good. But they couldn't save this clunker. Save yourself two wasted hours and watch S1E5 College and S3E11 Pine Barrens instead. As for the film, Fugedaboutit.

I often look at IMDB ratings in deciding whether to try a film that's available online. In this case, I'm glad I ignored them. There are lots of 1-3 star ratings with comments about the film being boring and falling asleep while watching. I guess if you're looking for car chases, superheroes and cgi, it's not your cup of tea. But I enjoyed it. Not a great film, but a very good one. It's about the relationship between two women, and peripherally their relationships with their husbands. People who found this boring would be bored by works from the writings of Tennessee Williams and Somerset Maugham. If you want flash and bang, watch something about John Wick or the Fast and Furious. I enjoyed watching Elizabeth Moss, who I consider to be one of the finest actresses of her generation, as well as a fine supporting cast. But if you want to see something about the human condition, enjoy this film.

Ok. I like the series. I think the ladies are hilarious. Give it a try. You might like it.

I've been watching SNL since 1975. Saw the very first one and have missed very few over the years. And this is one of the best. Betty White is hilarious. The NPR sketch is classic. Not to be missed.

I love the Hallmark Christmas movies. Ive not seen every one, but not far from it. Yes, I know they share many similarities and usually follow "the formula." But I generally enjoy them. This was an exception. The storyline just did not go anywhere. It felt like treading water for two hours. And, as others have mentioned, the music aspect really bugged me. As a lifelong musician, I was appalled at how poorly the violin solos were played. They certainly would not be indicative of someone who would have a chance in auditioning for a symphony orchestra . And it's not just the fact that her hand motions don't go at all with what is being played. The musicianship is just terrible. The producers would have been well served to spring for a little more money and get a decent violinist. So while I absolutely love Christmas movies, I will not recommend this one.
