Schmigadoon! (2021)
A Love Letter to Musicals
A wonderful tribute to golden age Hollywood musicals. The juxtaposition of "real people" alongside 50s mentality characters and environment is delightfully charming and funny. The show is for people who love musicals. If you don't like singing, it's not for you. I thoroughly enjoy Keegan Michael Key and Cecily Strong. Here's to more seasons!
Virgin River: A Wedding, No Funeral and a Baby (2021)
Episode was fine but,
More of a general tv complaint. How would Mel have had time to have a fertility consultation and an implantation appointment in LA in the super short time she and Jack had broken up? When she says he's not the father I'm assuming it's because somehow she was able to do IVF. I'm annoyed because it just seems improbable and getting pregnant from your first IVF is really rare.

Looks fantastic but falls flat
It just doesn't suspend my disbelief. I'm not looking for perfect accuracy, but for a fantasy world to be believable, you have to feel like its existence can be plausible. I've watched many fantasy shows over the years, but when I watched this one, the plot holes were so gaping I just couldn't get over it. The constant questioning I had just pulled me straight out of the world and had me bored in front of my tv. Don't get me wrong either because Jason Momoa is great! The production is beautiful too. I really wanted to like this show but it just falls flat for me.
