Belly of the Beast (2003)
" I liked you better when you were a bitch "
Steven's latest outing has him on a quest to find his kidnapped daughter. The plot is something that we have all seen before but the action is non-stop and pretty well staged. The use of a stunt double is obvious as some of the various flying kicks the director has our hero performing could never be done with seagal's big ass. In conclusion, while not the best one of the better seagal films.
The Foreigner (2003)
BAD
this movie simply does not work. The action scenes were shot to look stylish but just come out looking sloppy. seagal barely fights and a lot of his scenes are shot from the back ( if you look in some of the scenes it is not even him, but a 100 lb lighter stunt double) the movie is just all around BAD!
Half Past Dead (2002)
Average movie with some decent action scenes
I just returned from seeing half past dead and walked out getting exactly what I expected. I would compare it to glimmer man and fire down below in the sense that it was entertaining but lacked what the earlier seagal movies gave to us. I hope that in the next two that seagal has in the works, that he goes back to what he does best which is punishing everyone without all the special effects and quick edits.
U.S. Seals II (2001)
For Martial Arts Fans Only!
I was expecting just another average direct-to-video flick, however I got much more. The begining moved a little slow outside of a pretty good gun fight but all in all an entertaining flick with a very creative ending!
Exit Wounds (2001)
seagal is back
Exit wounds is everything like I thought it would be. This is an overall good come back for a man whose fans were getting tired of him starring in a bunch of crap. Exit wounds should please seagal fans as well as fans of fast paced action. Even though its produced by joel silver (who after the matrix thinks that every action film he does, the fights should have wires) and has the same director as "Romeo must die",Don't worry! the fights aren't anywhere near as ridiculous as that movie. So go and see it!
