A must see Asian police movie, alone for the intelligence content.

First of all I need to start to go back to my history with Asian police movies. When I was in my teenage years have I seen an Asian police movie which's name and other scenes I can not remember in which a S.W.A.T. team cop steps on a grenade that was thrown at the storming police team. He steps on it and closes his eyes but it did not go off as the grenade was a nonstarter. This was one of the most impressive movies I have ever seen. I hope to get to know one day this movies name.

Particular police movies of Asia have this certain intense reality feeling.

Now to the movie New World.

It is an epos. The story of police officers infiltrating a triad is simply thrilling and binding. The acting, particular of the criminal side, is unleashing a dragon.

Certain scenes are very violent, one I would not have shown in the movie, others are nearly funny violent. The professionality of the movie searches it's own. The dramatic scenery and power play switches from side to side. Agendas change, are revealed, become hidden, etc. Strong police patriotism that combats the reality of the danger of fast and brutality striking criminal underground triads. Very strong characters, intelligence, flair is on top and the basis of every single scene.

I would like to get more into detail but then I would reveal further characteristics of the movie, if I have not yet already done so.

It is a serious movie mixed with entertainment. My police trust is after years of corruption and terror while I was living in Germany and since the last 2 years in the United Kingdom again rising. I worked as a private investigator for 7 years specialised in corruption, criminality and terrorism in West Germany and know of danger of infiltrating and police work.

This movie is a must see. Turn on the English subtitles and just watch the movie.

Astonishing, impressive, unique...

You need compliments of a different language to describe the movie. I try and find words in English for it. Ulterior, supreme, epic, emotional theatrical, power, harmony, balance, sound of force, Yin and Yang. It is as kinetic energy mixes with emotions and Chinese historical battles with a touch of natures magic.

The music is from another realm and fits in every pulse beat.

The closest Hollywood movie I can think of is 300 when thinking of the battle scenes, but the additional epic content of military strategy, motivation, feeling, representation of the kingdoms and their values, revenge, emotional turn of tide of the battles etc. turn this movie into a masterpiece.

I would have really wanted to see a bit more intrigue and political background content to give the movie an even wider atmospheric spectrum, but I think that this would have hurt on the other hand the primary military and battle cantered focus.

You forget and recognise parallel how much all the political conflicts and agendas between the west and China hurts and remember several times the greatest cinema of the martial arts movies of China we have grown up with since our early childhood.

Awesome series with deep inside in all day live in Israel, not just for Jews or Israeli's.

If you like Israel but have never visited Israel and if you have no Jewish friends but always want to have, this series is for you. It gives you exactly the inside and feedback into Jewish live as you imagine and want it. From fascinating characters, to humour, real life scenarios, different allied culture, but exactly the same human actions and responses for what we love the Israelis that much for, up to emotional blackmailing in not being that deep religious with regular observances than the characters, but now want to just to be part of the spirit of the show. All packed into this series.

For me as a target group: I am 35, US American, single, half Jewish, but with several orthodox family lines, the other half is Native American and partial Christian. I live in London and love Israel very much. That series hit me as a target group. Definitive the Israeli version of "Friends".
