Cuphead (2017)
From the style,to the difficulty!
Everything from the gameplay, the style AND do not get me started on the difficulty!
Cuphead is an amazing action platformer set in the 1930's cartoon style, the gameplay is very smooth and can (and WILL) try to kick you in the heiny. This little gem of a game is beautiful,it will make you feel like you are playing an animation and the difficulty really blows me away with it's tutorial bosses like The Root Pack and Goopy Le Grande are just getting you into the feel, bosses like Cala Maria and Dr Kahl's Robot are insane and every single time I die I just want to try and try again until the point where you beat a boss that you've been struggling with for over 3 hours and finally taste the victory. The thing that people love about this game is how fun, beautiful and difficult it is with the bullet hell aeroplane-style bosses where you attack them and their weaponry in an aeroplane and in the second world if you talk to Phil (the bird NPC) you can shoot them with bombs although there weaker than the original shot. If you struggle with a boss you can earn coins from completing the Run n' Gun levels to get weapons and charms from Porkrind's Emporium (the shop) to help on bosses like Beppi The Clown, in which I personally found I needed Roundabout as Shot 1 and Lobber as Shot 2 and when you finally beat the game and all it's bosses on Regular difficulty, you unlock Expert difficulty where it is even more challenging to the extent that you just want to keep on replaying and replaying until you finally give them a taste of their own medicine. After that, you get an achievement called beat the Devil at his own game which you are awarded by beating Satan himself on Expert difficulty.
10/10 game with so much replayability and it is definitely worth the £16.99 price tag.
