The Dressmaker (2015)
I at no point knew how I was supposed to feel in this hilarious film
I truly have no idea how much of drama or comedy is happening at any point in this film. Kate Winslet and Judy Davis are both an award worthy tragic mother/daughter presence whilst being a perfect comedic pairing from scene to scene. The onrunning plot of a childhood false accusation of murder being resolved with 'the bully used to pretend to be a bull and run into other kid's' stomachs' until one day he bull bullied a little close to the sun/brick wall was hysterical but also intercut with Kate Winslet acting her heart out while Liam Hemsworth jumps into a silo to prove his love only to kill himself and then... it's time for the Shakespeare costuming competition once Judy Davis also dies randomly.
El Chupacabra (2003)
So bad it's bad
So dull that people kept leaving the room for extended periods of time to do chores or text until the 70min mark where everybody in our viewing party was in the kitchen talking about other things as the movie played to an audience of none.
