Truly Madly Deeply (1990)
Very touching, different, beautiful
Yes I watched this movie in 2020 and I was blown away. I honestly didn't know what to expect at first, but it's now one of the most genuinely beautiful movies I've ever watched. It had me in my feelings at the end, it was painfully beautiful.
The actors made a wonderful job as well, it is not your typical love story movie, it is way better than that. I highly recommend it, be ready to be blown away. It's a movie I'll never forget.
Marriage Story (2019)
Masterpiece
Beautifully written, performances on point, easily one of my favorites movies of all time.
It Is simple, yet very complicated just like life; very realistic.
Just lovely.
Joker (2019)
Favorite
Joker is easily one of the best movies I've ever watched in my entire life.
Phoenix's performance is beast, not to mention the music, the story, the emotional impact.
It questions us as a society. Nobody cared about Arthur and we felt bad about it, would we have cared about Arthur? Do we care about the Arthurs out there?
Arthur became the Joker because somehow the society he lived in led him down that path, and we as a society and the way the system works do the exact same with millions of people.
It made me question even myself and my ethics.
Wonderful!
1917 (2019)
Amazing
Wonderful movie!
I usually don't really enjoy war movies so much but to me this was more than that; many war movies tend to romanticize what war is but 1917 didn't.
War is brutal, dark, cruel and that's the way movies should show it to us and this one did a great job.
You'll feel anxious and tense during the whole movie and I believe that's how it should be, at points it made me want to cry and at some others it made my stomach turn, it made me wish for an ideal world.
George Mackay's performance is absolutely beautiful as well as the photography, the scenery.
The music was terrific, it was there when it needed to be and silence presented itself when it was needed too.
Wonderful movie, definitely one of my new favorites.
The Man Behind the Dance (2019)
Beautiful
This gives us a more personal and beautiful insight to who Michael Jackson as a person was, not as an artist, not as a performer, not as an entertainer but as a man; as a friend.
It may remind the public we lost Michael Jackson the entertainer, the idol but people like LaVelle lost a close friend, a confidant and he does a great job at humanizing the man who has been endlessly deshumanized.
I laughed, I cried, I was amazed and it touched my heart.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
Square One (2019)
The Truth Matters
Danny Wu made an absolutely wonderful job with this very well done documentary.
He presented facts and consistent information; none of the presented facts contradict each other, the witnesses were very clear and their stories and what they lived were key.
It is even more clear after watching Square One that Michael Jackson was and is the actual victim of extortion.
It is also clear whatever Michael Jackson did (for example a simple photoshoot with his nephews) is twisted and manipulated to make it something it clearly wasn't.
As a society, it should worry us that we believe everything that's fed to us without at first searching for the facts and waiting to hear both sides.
Square One does a great job at showing how the media can be so one-sided and make someone look guilty even when they're not.
I do believe watching this will make people finally see the truth.
Beautifully done!
Leaving Neverland (2019)
Appalling
This "documentary" is full of inconsistencies:
1) Safechuck mentions he was apparently abused "hundreds" of times in a building that later we find out was not even built in the years of his supposed abuse; but was built three or so years later after the supposed abuse ended; he would have been 18 by then. How can we ignore that fact?
2) Not to mention Safechuck suspiciously wears the same exact clothes but the furniture of the same exact location has changed completely. Did they go back to add something they missed? Why keep the same exact clothes down to the socks?
3) The two supposed victims mention they didn't know each other, but there's clear footage of both of them hanging out together as kids.
4) Robson partly blames his father's suicide on his supposed abuse by MJ, but Robson's father killed himself in 2002 WAY before Robson claims he realized he had been abused.
5) Robson testified WITHOUT a subpoena, it was his will to testify and in the transcripts you can read how consistent his story is, cause he was telling the truth! Look for photos of Robson after testifying, smiling, happy, giving the peace sign. Come on.
6) Safechuck's mother says she was "very happy" when MJ died so he couldn't abuse more children, yet her son claims he hadn't "realize" he had been abused until 2013. What do you make of that?
7) When MJ passed away, Robson was one of the dancers who danced with Janet Jackson in a tribute for her late brother; who would dance at a tribute of their supposed abuser?
8) At a Q & A we can clearly see Robson and Safechuck laughing when somebody asks a question about their supposed abuse, how could any real victim laugh it off?
9) Let me also mention both Robson and Safechuck have been proved to be in a terrible financial situation and they're asking for millions from the MJ's estate.
10) Robson's case has been dismissed for the judges won't fall for his story.
I could go on and on with the inconsistencies but I don't see the point in doing so.
Did they think the public wouldn't notice? Did they think they could outsmart the public?
This should not be allowed to be called a "documentary".
