I Loved Every Moment of This Show!
22 June 2007
I seldom give a 10 on a review, but this series was absolutely great, in my humble opinion. The music is first-rate as well. Watching the episode where Dani is told Mac is not coming back was so poignant, there is no doubt that a bond existed between all the players. Jon-Erik's tragic demise truly hit them hard. They wrote his death into the script with grace and respect, almost reverence. I've been lucky enough to get an entire set of the show on DVD, so I am truly blessed. Jennifer O'Neill is stunningly beautiful and it is a shame we have not seen more of her in recent years. I am a fan of Richard Anderson as well, and he played his role convincingly with dignity and gentleness.

Sheena was gentler and more nurturing than Tarzan.
2 March 2007
I liked the series because Sheena was much more gentle and nurturing than her Tarzan counterpart. There were morals to every one of her episodes, from liars not benefiting from their exploits, to we should all respect other people's gods. Set in Kenya, the episodes were complete in each segment. Of course, her chimpanzee side-kick "Chim" stole the show on several episodes. I actually have 8 episodes (not 5) on one DVD. These were captured from VCD/TV, but the quality is fair to good, given their age and transition from television to DVD format. Titles are: Forbidden Land; The Renegades; The Test; Magic Bag; Ganyika Kid; Elephant God; Secret of the Temple; The Lash.

Great "Rainy Day" fare!
2 March 2007
One of the main reasons I enjoyed this serial so much is because Linda Stirling seemed to rescue our hero almost as many times as he rescues her! This made her role a little ahead of its time, I think. She was more a team player than just a damsel in distress. Really fun stuff and Linda plays her part to the fullest. It must have been a drag having to wear the same outfit for 15 episodes, but,in true serial fashion, none of the guys lost their hats during the numerous fight scenes. I tend to watch for that - it's kind of a trademark of serials. I thought it was fun to try and figure out which one of the cast was the real Captain Mephisto! This is great "Rainy Day" fare - and relatively family-friendly! I recommend it.

Excellent early SciFi thriller
30 December 2006
I can't be the only viewer who absolutely loves this movie! Having seen it as a youngster, I was very pleased when it came out recently in DVD format. The color is excellent, thanks to Technicolor technology. The plot, although considered humorous by some, involves the enlistment of earth scientists to help inhabitants of Metaluna build an "interocitor" to aid them in combatting the evil forces attempting to destroy their home planet. Rex Reason has a wonderful voice, and that is a special treat for me, since I grew up on and still enjoy old time radio. It is a shame MST3000 maligned this movie so much. With a supporting cast like Faith Domergue and Jeff Morrow, both veterans of genre, this movie is well worth your time.
