I was stunned by the movie. I didn't know it was a remake at first and thought it was a parody of all those old B movies. The fakey father and son chat that sounded like Leave it to Beaver to the weird science teacher with the long blue dress and how about the predictable editing sequences and camera shots that we have all seen so many times before. The best scene was when the boy followed the teacher into the cave. I want that clip to play at dance parties. If people say the acting was bad I say it was supposed to be bad to parody the bad acting of the 50's. So the movie achieved it's objective. It's really too bad that most people just don't get it. The aliens are supposed to look stupid. The film did it's job too well in mimicking the 50's and people misunderstand that and think it's cheesy. If you are imitating a recipe for cheesy pizza and you pizza comes out cheesy doesn't that mean you are a good cook and your product came out the way you intended?

I first saw Satan's School for Girls when it first aired back in 73 and haven't forgotten about it 28 years later. I forgot the name but not the movie. I've told many people about the movie over the years saying it was one of my favorite horror movies. I liked the setting, actors and plot. It's a great combination of elements. There are not a lot of movies that have stayed in my heart as long as long as this one without having seen the movie in over two decades. I just recently discovered Kate Jackson was in Dark Shadows and I checked her credits and that is how I found the name of the movie I have cherished all these years was Satan's School for Girls. I had thought Kate Jackson was in this movie but it was hard to be sure since I was just a child when I saw it. I can't wait to rent or buy Satan's School for Girls now that I know the name. I'm proud to be a Kate Jackson fan from before her Angel days with this movie.
