Rogue Hostage (2021)
You're gonna wanna be hostage rather than watch this movie.
Whoever came up with this "action" movie needs their head examined.
I've had dreams better than this movie.
The cover artwork on the DVD cover looks good. Other than that, don't bother with it.
Starve (2014)
This movie will give you indigestion
I'll give it one star for the horror disgust factor. Otherwise, forget it and go out to your local McDonald's and enjoy a Big Mac and fries.
Nagwonui bam (2020)
A paradise of a brutal, tragic and poignant Korean gangster movie
Gut wrenching and gory. But visceral and electric. Final scene is amazing. A must watch for fans of this genre. One of the best in recent years.
The Dinner Party (2020)
Could've been much better
It's OK for horror gore-type movie. There were a few gory scenes. But there are many other better movies of this type. It went on too long. Should have been no more than 90 minutes. Too much recitation by characters of poetry and literature etc. in the dialogue. Characters were over-the-top with over-acting. The story ending was twisted and weird. Not truly satisfying IMO. In fact, the whole movie just seemed too weird.
I prefer movies where everybody does not turn into the devil, or God for that matter.
The 2nd (2020)
The 2nd had to be the 1st worst movie in by a long time
This movie works well as a comedy. The script, acting and action scenes will get you laughing quick and all the way to the end. The climactic action scene was beyond funny. Every bad guy gets shot exactly perfectly on cue on the first shot by an endless-round machine gun wielded by Major Vic. Not to mention his teenager son who polished off any bad guy in the way by hand. Where do they train these bad guys?!? Walmart training academy?!? Hahahaha
Ghosts of War (2020)
A war movie that doesn't know what war it's in, and a horror movie that doesn't know if it's meant to scare you or to pontificate a morality
Is this a WW2 movie or Afghanistan war movie? Is it a horror movie or a morality play? The writers should go back to the drawing board. Disjointed plot and really obtuse ending. Kinda like a peanut butter and ketchup sandwich.
May the ghosts haunt the movie writers for eternity!
Freshwater (2016)
The movie should've been bitten by the alligator
Overall, the movie should've been bitten by the alligator.
I'm a Zoe Bell fan but this was not her best outing. Campy almost funny effect to the movie.
Joe Lando's acting and the twist ending did help salvage some of the movie.
Still, best actor in the movie goes to the alligator.
General Commander (2019)
Watch only if you're a Seagal groupie and even then only if you're drunk and senile; most folks are better of getting a Karate Chop
Good points: most of the women are good-looking; drone scenes of city capitals and other scenery are gorgeous; some blood and guts here for fans of that stuff
Bad points: disjointed dense story; too bad it had a kernel of potential; Bad acting and wooden dialogue; first half of movie was folks crying over fellow team guy's death (but zero emotion for all the other dead bloody bodies); second half was a lot of jumbled mostly incoherent scenes; Seagal should retire on a beach, and eat donuts and ice pop.
Bottom line: the Trailer was 100 times better than the movie; many folks would find poking yourself in the eye more enjoyable; seagal starting to look like a Fat Dracula with the personality of a screw driver; anybody who rates this higher than a 1 (wish there was a lower number) needs to get their head examined.
Girl on the Third Floor (2019)
Not much here, better off watching Fixer Upper
Good points
1. A few interesting horror scenes with a little fright
2. Sarah Brooks was cute and hot, and also wicked in the horror segments
Bad points
Too many things to mention
Slow moving in the beginning, disjointed throughout, with story that just didn't make much obvious sense
As far as renovation, I wouldn't let this guy near my house. That was the real horror. You're better off watching Fixer Upper for any laughs and scares.
"Girl on the Third Floor" needs to take the elevator out ASAP.
The Fare (2018)
Not horror movie; Suspense movie turned into romance movie
I have a less favorable view of this movie than most. I was expecting a horror movie or alien movie or something having to do with alternate reality or parallel universes or other dimensions. As some have said, it was somewhat like an extended Twilight Zone-type movie but turning into a romance date movie. For me, I felt the story and ending could have been explained better. Why does Death have a wife in the first place? A cabbie and a fare suddenly fall madly in love out of nowhere for eternity? The cabbie seemed like a low class blue-collar type; meanwhile, how does a Korean-looking woman have an Irish last name of Kelly? It all seems far-fetched, somewhere in "the middle ground between light and shadow". Good luck watching it. I'd rather have my fare back.
