One Piece: Wan pîsu: Hi o mo Yaki Tsukusu Chikara: Akainu Hijou no Tsuigeki (2011)
Damn
The first half was kind of annoying, but man the second part of this episode is to be remembered. Akainu's speech, Ace's rage and the first time that we ever see Luffy genuinely shocked. Amazing direction (probably thanks to Oda) in the last few minutes.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Ace Kyuushutsu! Shirohige Saigo no Senchou Meirei! (2010)
The turning point
Besides the amazing sequence of Ace's liberation, Whitebeard's monologue steals the show in this one. This is the end of an era and our favourite straw-hat boy is gonna be the protagonist of the next one!
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Sorezore no Eranda Michi: Luffy vs Garp! (2010)
Amazing
Beautiful depiction of Luffy and Garp's bond. The short flashback is beautifully animated and very touching. Marineford's arc is incredible and this is one of its best moments so far.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Shokei Shikkou Shirei Kudaru: Houiheki o Toppa Seyo! (2010)
A true epic
The whole Marineford saga is grandiose, but this episode really stands out. Very well directed, amazing fight sequences, interesting twists and damn Toei really knows how to make a beautiful animation when they want to. One of my favourites so far.
Mushishi: Makura kôji (2005)
Heartbreaking
Storytelling at his finest. The story is as beautiful as it is predictable, but the execution is flawless. The amazing soundtrack makes the whole episode a little masterpiece.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Ohara no Higeki! Buster Call no Kyoufu (2006)
Masterful Storytelling
Besides how heart-wrenching the destruction of Ohara is, what caught my attention was how perfectly Oda explained why it's important that we study history in order to accept our past errors, instead of denying them. This episodes contains many life lessons and it's my favourite so far.
Devilman: Crybaby: I Need You (2018)
Sabbath
The sabbath scene is one of the most well-shot things I've ever seen. That scene alone makes this episode an incredible introduction for this weird masterpiece of a series.
One Piece: Wan pîsu: Nakama Kyuushutsu! Harikomi Franky House (2005)
It's all about this
This episode masterfully captures the essence of One Piece: adventure, friendship and the willing to sacrifice yourself for one of your crew. It's very well directed and emotional. For me, the best episode so far.
Vinland Saga: Out of the Cradle (2019)
Masterpiece
This episode has everything: amazing fight scenes, great dialogues that show the most philosophical side of the characters and, as always, an amazing ost by the legendary Yutaka Yamada. This anime is too good to be real and it's rapidly becoming one of my favourites.
Eden Lake (2008)
I think i get why some people hate it
Yes, the movie is violent, almost sadistic at some points, but this doesn't mean that it doesnt' have a deeper meaning. Justice is not always done: people lie, people do terrible things and people can be evil without any rational explanation. This movie reminded me of Funny Games, which also tricks the viewer into thinking that the main characters will survive or that there will be a satisfying fight scene, or the death of the antagonist. But this is not your typical horror flick and, imho, this movie had the courage to offer a pessimistic, gritty and brutal view of mankind.
