Run.
29 November 2020
This movie is an embarrassment to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise, movies, and humankind in general. It doesn't have any of the original cast that made the original movies so amazing, we're supposed to believe that these people are a family when they don't look ANYTHING like each other and don't act as a family. The jokes are not funny, there's no good message at the end, and it just sucks. If you want to feel enraged by how bad a movie is; watch this. Otherwise run like hell from this movie.

Riverdale (2017–2023)

gets progressively worse

Season 1 is actually good, season 2 ok, but w o w seasons 3 & 4 are terrible. Half of the cast is in mid 20s (some are even closer to thirty), so the season 5 time jump is a good idea, but there's no way I'll be watching anymore. The dialogue gets cringier every season, the storylines literally make no goddamn sense, and I already told myself multiple times: maybe it gets better! It doesn't. The writers are too scared to change anything, we've had the same 2 main couples since season 1, and that's because even though no one's happy in their relationships, the fans keep threatening to stop watching because the couples had a few cute scenes in season 1 so of course they're soulmates for life! Everything about the newer seasons sucks and I'd avoid it like the plague if I were you.

just bad

Warning: Spoilers
The main guys are weirdly controlling (telling other guys to not talk to Elle, her best friend getting mad at her not following some rules they made when they were like 6...). The whole kissing booth thing the movie is named after was in like... two scenes maybe? And then it's also a part of prom night??? Elle's annoying and a very weird scene imo is where Elle has a scratch on her face and Lee just assumes Noah (his brother) hit her (which should be a red flag, if his BROTHER is VERY ready to assume he hits girls). Plain stupid and boring, felt like a chore to sit through.

Clueless (1995)
3/10
Overhyped
5 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I recently watched Mean Girls on Netflix and loved it. Since I really liked that movie and saw that Clueless was supposed to be a similar movie, I decided to give it a go. I wish I didn't. (TL:DR at the end).

The thing that bothered me a lot about this movie is that I can't see what the plot is. IMDB says it's about a girl who makes her teacher fall in love, but that plot was over in the first 10 mins of the movie. The teachers get married at the end of the movie and invite their students (???) to the wedding.

Netflix says it's about a popular girl giving a 'clueless' new girl a makeover, but the clueless girl, Tai, literally just randomly disappears for 30 mins and the first scene she's in again is her hanging from the fence of a mall because some two guys were 'joking'. Couldn't you go to jail beacuse of this?? Oh and btw the MC Cher gets mugged and is held at gunpoint and doesn't tell her dad or the cops.

The 2nd thing is that Cher, the MC, is so annoying. It's hard for ms to like a movie when I want to punch the MC in the face. She literally constantly comments about others appearance and gets good grades by convincing teachers to give her better grades. I was honestly kinda pissed when she gave Tai a makeover because Tai actually had a cute style and they just turned her into... every popular girl. The thing is that I honestly hate how Cher dresses, it's just the basic 'rich popular girl' style. Then after Tai is rescued from the mall she later tells Cher she likes Josh, Cher's ex-step brother (?). Cher gets mad and storms out only to realise she doesn't like the idea of T+J dating is beacuse she is ALSO in love with Josh. But in the middle of the scene where she realises that she randomly walks into a store and buys a dress. She gets better by the end of the movie though, I'll give her that.

The writers tried to push 'as if' as an 'iconic quote' but everytime Cher would say it I'd just die inside beacuse her voice would get wayy too high.

Most of the characters are kinda one-dimensional, they're just... stereotypes and we don't know anything about their life (except Cher).

You could tell that the acting improved in the middle, guess the actors were learning on set. The music's good too.

Didn't mean for this to be so long and it kinda turmed into a rant but whatever.

TL:DR - movie doesn't have a plot, annoying MC, one-dimensional characters, the acting improves, weird 'quotes', good music choice

Boring

I only watched 3 episodes of this show, but they are SO LONG and nothing happens. Idk, maybe it gets better after epiosde 3 but I just don't have the wish to give it a second chance. The episodes are 25 mins each but it always feels like an hour.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021)

A great comedy

One of the things that I love the most about this show is that there is no laugh tracks, you decide for yourself what's funny and basically everything is. The acting is amazing, you can tell that the actors are enjoying themselves and have a lot of chemistry. Love the fact that Andy Samberg and Chelsea Peretti (Jake and Gina) are childhood friends. Still didn't see the first half of season 6 and season 7, but I'll definitely try to find a place to watch it. Also, kudos to whoever trains Cheddar, that dog is a genius.

Funny as hell

Martin's one of the best parts of the show. The running jokes like salt in water or dad's hearing problems are always placed well and don't come off as predictable. You can tell that season 6 is probably the last season, and I'll REALLY miss this show.

One of my favourite shows of all time

Great plot, a lot of jokes. The outfits and sets are spot on, and everytime I finish watching an episode I kinda feel like I time travelled from the 1970s to 2020. All the characters are very likable, but they all also have flaws so they don't come off as over the top perfect. Would definitely reccomend watching this show :)
