Only good thing about this movie is Arjun
18 August 2004
I saw this movie with some hopes, despite its dull performance at the box office. I was disappointed. Low points: Stereotypical bad guys - I mean come on, the whole Pakistani/Kashmiri/Jihad plot is just so OLD. I am really sick of movies featuring this subplot as they just never offer anything new in terms of villain motivation or behaviour. You can predict what they'll say before they do and it's certainly not good for relations between the two countries. Find a new source of bad guys already, Bollywood.

Direction: The director had some snazzy techniques of using a split screen. Then he overused it way too much by putting this technique in every few minutes.

Priyanka's character: Unneccessay side plot without any character development or motivation

Bad music: absolutely no memorable or inspiring music

Predictable storyline: enough said

Good points -

Arjun Rampal: Arjun is looking as gorgeous as ever, so if you're female you'll probably enjoy this movie. He's also quite a good actor and very good in an action role.

Naseeruddin Shah: This guy is a scream every time I see him. His villain was one of my favourite parts of the movie he was so campy.

All in all the world would not have been at a loss if this movie had never been made. However, Arjun Rampal is quite good and very nice to watch, so rent it on video and fast forward the boring/bad bits.

A bit of a disappointment
22 June 2004
This could have been a good movie, but wasn't. I mostly blame this on Amisha Patel. I don't really like her as an actress ordinarily but her hysterical act in this movie reminded me of someone having an asthma attack, I kept expecting her to get an inhaler out. Hrithik is good, so if you're a fan then see this movie. It's very clichéd, the typical 'poor boy meets rich girl and rich girls father does everything to get rid of boy' movie which has been done a lot better in many other movies. In my opinion Deewaanapan which basically had the same plot was much better. For one thing, the actress didn't annoy me so much with her heavy breathing. Don't watch the movie if you're not a fan of Hrithik.

Quite good

This movie is quite good, but not fantastic. Suniel Shetty plays a poor widower with a young son. He pushes the son to achieve at running, controlling his life and making him work so hard that the son thinks of him as 'Hitler'. A young widow (Neha) lives with her mother next door and takes an interest in them, eventually leading to a love story. Suniel's character isn't very likeable for the first part of the movie, although his motives are explained later. The movie is alright for passing the time.

Vadh (2002)
Not a very good movie
28 November 2003
I'd classify this as a B grade Indian movie, it really wasn't that good. The main characters are Dr Arjun, his wife Jyoti, his brother Vijay and his friend Aryan.

The plot is as follows: Dr Arjun treats inmates at the local prison, one of whom is a dangerous serial killer of women. One day the serial killer escapes from prison. After this, two girlfriends of Aryan's die and Vijay begins to suspect him.

There were no clues leading up to the ending within the movie, to let you know who the killer was. It wasn't very well written, and the songs were ordinary. Only see this film if you're a fan of one of the actors.
