Anatomy of a Scandal (2022)
Anticlimactic
It has a good storyline. However, the ending has zero payoff for the audience. For some inexplicable reason the accused confessed all his sins to his wife, which is totally outside of the psychopathy that the writer established. The audience is then treated a silly wrap up of the story where the wife with her moral superiority turned in him for what sounded like an accident. Rape ok, accidental death, that is the line. The ending is absurd and not based in reality. However about to give him the harsh truth that most politician gets away with such things at the detriment of their family. If they wanted demonstrate justice, they should have found him guilty, not some silly mention that his wife reported him then he is arrested. The audience is robbed of a conclusion. He is more likely to be found innocent based on the scenario he described to his wife. Total Nonsense.
Undercover (2019)
Weak Season 2 plot: Criminals suddenly became dumb in the last few episodes
I really enjoyed season 1 of this show because it had layers. The plot and acting were great. However, season 2 leaves much to be desired. There was no real drama, just the good guys winning all the time in some unbelievable scenarios. They killed off of the main character who added essence to the show and was good at confronting Steve's unethical and illegal behavior. She was his conscience and she provided a good balance in the show. Season 2 does not have that and Steve is unleashed to break all of the rules in the book, including kidnapping and extortion. I started hating his character.
Now to the bad guys. It is unbelievable that a gun smuggler only has one soldier to do all of his bidding. What kind of operation is that. It was just unbelievable. There are some of the worse criminals who don't even have instincts to know that UC is right under their noses. They can surgically kill a female cop, but they cannot kill a single mother (Nathalie) who is living in their house. What the h**l. Why drug her then drive somewhere to dig a hole to bury her when you can shoot and kill her and the take her body there? Why drug her if the whole intent was to kill her? The father would have had custody of the child if it proven the child was his through DNA test. Just a total mess by the writers. Why shoot Steve once without killing him? Ok..You finish digging the hole. Why not immediately put a bullet in both Steve and Nathalie. The criminals just decided to be dumb in the last episode. It is maddening. There is no resolution to the murder. No one confessed to the murder of the cop and there were two guys on the bike when she was shot. So, what was the point of the entire season. The show could have ended in episode 4 when gun smuggler ordered the hit of his rival/exl-over. The cops had it on video. They made a mess of the plot for this season. I am so mad right now. I was so looking forward to this season.
Kärlek & anarki (2020)
Cliche'
Too many cliche in the show and the actress that play the main character is not believable at all as a wife and mother. She has zero presence on screen a mother because the actress is out of her depth playing the role. In fact, there is no depth the any of the characters. Ida Engvoll needs to work on expanding her acting skillset. She is always plays the wide eyed, impulsive, misguided characters. I get what the writer was trying to do. However, IMHO, it would have made for a better show if the main character was single or dating not somebody not married with two young children. It would have made a better story about liberation. It was hard to absorb the damage she is doing to her personal and professional life while pursuing liberation. We would not celebrate such behavior as liberation in real life, especially in 2020. We would see it as a train wreck. Love that is messy is not love. So, I cannot celebrate this mess of a show that is filled with so much cliche. What is season 2 going to give us. The plot is not sustainable at past season 1. How are the characters going to evolve?
