The Morning Show: Fever (2021)
I expected something better
I think the problem with this season was that they put massive personal drama than a plot for the show they do inside the show, this is a show about mornings news, hell it's called The Morning Show, but they delivered so little news. Season 1 was amazing because they did so good with exposing predators, the truth about men in power and the me too movement, sure they had personal drama going on but it wasn't the center of the plot, unlike this season, season 1 manage to balance things and have an amazing storyline.
Now I'm not saying personal drama isn't necessary, they delivered the news and have lifes outside work, but it wasn't necessary to take the majority of the time to explore them, I understand the first episodes dealing with the aftermath of the actions for last season but they did go on and on and by the end they couldn't even have a conclusion for the "issues" they brought to the table. Which were basically, Mitch dealing with the consequences, the debates, Maggie's book, cancel culture and of course covid. So many things happened on the first trimester of 2020, they could have done better than that.
Don't get me wrong, the addition of Laura Petterson was one of the best decisions of this season, a self-centered character in all the mess, and the development of Chip and Alex was truly fantastic, i havea love/hate relationship with Alex, its entertaining and unpredictable I get angry at her but i understand her at points. But overall, they did a mess with Yanko, a character i really enjoyed last season for being a sweet and vulnerable man, Stella was really pointless, she added nothing to the trama other than being Korean, which they mentioned a lot of times for no reason, she was supposed to play a young woman on a position of power but she didn't do anything if Cory didn't told her to or gave permission. Daniel and Mia, even tho Mia had great performances, were even more annoying, they made them those characters that blame everything that happened to their lives because they're either Black or a Woman. They ruined Cory, I used to be enamored of him, he became everything he was fighting against last season, I guess being CEO was a lot for him to handle, he outed Bradley and then they make him confess his feelings in her lower moment, and now they expect me to root for a love triangle with Laura, Cory and Bradley. And Bradley, she's a complete mess, i appreciate her storyline with the brother, it's important to portrait toxic families and how hard is to have an addict in your life for years, I guess she's back to square one but god did they really needed to erase all the progress she made through all the season?
I sure will watch season 3, I'm into this mess already, just wish they pay attention to the publci critics and do better for I suppose its gonna be an after covid season.
The Morning Show: Confirmations (2021)
Just amazing
This is the best episode of this season. This season has been slow but now i can see the building up taking form and it's gonna be even better than last season finale.
Supergirl: Welcome Back, Kara (2021)
Welcome back Supergirl!
As a premiere/come back episode it wasn't as exciting as i thought it would be, the "villain" of the week was literally trash, but as a long time fan of the show man that was refreshing, the dialogues were fun, the new interactions between characters, Lena and Nia's bonding and Brainy x Kellex fight was hilarious. The Danvers sisters were everything.
The only bad thing was the cgi, it's just so bad.
