The Gold Rush (1925)
Best and Most Complete Chaplin Movie in My Opinion.
Even Modern Times and The Great Dictator popularly stealing the title of best endings in their movies, and even though I prefer the final scene of The Circus, when I finish seeing them all, it still gives me the feeling that they weren't as moving as The Gold Rush, maybe you can compete for this title with City Lights, but this work as a whole will hardly be able to be surpassed.
The film takes place in a cold place and full of problems for the character, but it ends in such a warm and comfortably pleasant way, even though the future has its uncertainty, the journey is as innocent and fun, as the scene of the bear on the mountain, or the house almost falling off a cliff as they struggle to get out, but the bar scene is my favorite.
Chaplin manages to keep the charm of every detail so charming, and who knew that a pinch of romance would still fit so well in the midst of so many uncertainties, I think it will be hard to forget so much beauty...
