Valentine's Day (2010)
Loved it
I'm surprised to read so many bad reviews about this movie because I loved it. Now that it's on Netflix I do watch it some times. Loved the colors, the atmospheres, seeing some areas of L. A. which I love. Some of the stories may be a little non realistic in a sense but still I think we could easily identify with some of the characters. Never expected to see in such a secondary role Julia Roberts and Bradley Cooper but still, being able to watch so many stars with such a huge talent like was really worth it. I loved Ashton Kutcher character and Taylor Swift was great as well, I think she played her role perfectly.
Beckham (2023)
Beautiful inside and out
I always watch football (soccer) matches, specially during World Championships and I usually look for personal info about the players like I like best but I knew little about Beckham, He was always nice and educated during interviews so I wasn't surprised with this closer look inside his life and still observing how down to earth he is but never occurred to me he was such a noble soul. He could've easily been a pain like many other player much less good looking that him. He always gave autographs to his fans except when he was literally persecuted and so badly punished for one mistake. People can be really cruel, like if they weren't allowed to make mistakes, ever. How he could suffer so much but still go training and do his part with respect. Yes, this is s documentary seeing things from his side but everything he does or says comes confirmed by other players or coaches comments. He is not inventing anything. Huge respect for Beckham for his professionalism and the love for his family. Beautiful inside and out.
Love Is in the Air (2023)
The only good thing were the landscapes
How can a director allow an actress to have the same face expression for most part of the movie? So worried about looking gorgeous that they for got to wipe a little bit of make up from her face, at least during the hurricane. To make things worse was the acting of those two main characters. Nice story, beautiful landscapes but it's not at all worth watching. The hero girl turned out to be a spoiled, arrogant brat and a terrible actress. The Prince Charming could've had a little more dynamic, the character was kind of gray and flat. The only thing that makes it worth it to watch is the good looking couple wothout paying attention to the acting part, and the beautiful places, but watching photographs give the same emotions.
Somos. (2021)
Outstanding
This was one of the best series I've ever seen. I just couldn't stop watching. How can a real, sad and raw story can become such a piece of art. I can't believe most of the cast aren't even real actors. It's really true that true stories are far more incredible than fiction. It's almost impossible to believe what human beings are capable of. Congratulations to the writers and director that made this story (documentary) so we all come to know these real facts that happened and probably still happening. Beautiful landscapes, photography, music. A real piece of art with such a heartbreaking story.
Que baje Dios y lo vea (2017)
Gracious comedy
I really enjoyed this film. Great actors, good comedy, original script and beautiful atmosphere. Some scenes seamed to come out of a Caravaggio's painting. Loved it.
Tammy (2014)
Disappointing all the way
I saw the cast and couldn't believe it. 3 Three of my favorite actresses in one movie. It started real bad and I watched it until the end hoping that it would get better but never happened. What a waste of cast.
Thi Mai, rumbo a Vietnam (2017)
Beautiful story
Tragic and comic at the same time but with a very happy ending. I enjoyed it very much. The way Dani Rovira and Carmen Mach switch from comic to tragic is amazing. Loved it!
Diecisiete (2019)
Beautiful
What a great story. May be even raw but so full of beautiful moments of real love between a boy and his grandma, his brother and a dog. A roller coaster of emotions. So much going on in such a small family in a little but beautiful spanish town. I really enjoyed it.
Mamma o papà? (2017)
Terrible
I really love comedy but I just couldn't find this one funny. I mean, how can a pair of parents who decided to make their children's life as miserable as possible be funny?
Toc Toc (2017)
Great Comedy
I wasn't expecting too much about this film but I was truly surprised. I loved the characters who were perfectly played by these great actors. Love the atmospheres and colors as well. A very enjoyable movie.
Richard Jewell (2019)
Wonderful in every sense
What an incredible way to put on screen such an important fact. We all know that Clint Eastwood is a warranty of quality but what I wasn't expecting was that performance. The way Paul Hauser played the hole movie was spectacular but the last 10 minutes was unbelievable! He completely made justice to a man treated miserably who never got the apology he deserved.
Babamin Kemani (2022)
Disapointing
I was so exited about this title, as a musician and film lover. I just couldn't find something to like about this movie. Nor the acting or the music or the atmospheres. The actor's way of playing was a disaster. Like in the 70s whenever there was an actor playing an instrument, it was so clear that he/she wasn't doing it but in those days that was the way movies were made. When I saw this one was made this year I was shocked. All of them did a terrible job pretending to play. The music they used for back ground to make things more dramatic was terrible as well. What a waste of time. It could've been a nice story. Terrible copy of KOLYA which was a piece of art in every sense.
The Royal Treatment (2022)
Nothing new
It was worth it to watch just for the places. I had no idea about that island. The film is predictable and kind of superficial. The only original subject was a non-blue-eye- prince, for a change.
Last Christmas (2019)
Lovely!
So beautiful, the lights, the atmospheres, the music, the acting. What it seamed to be a typical love movie turned out as an unexpected and orniginal story. Loved it all the way from scene one until the end.
Burnt (2015)
Loved it
I would give an oscar to Bradley Cooper for this work. It's a really tense film but I think it's worth watching. Very realistic and it would perfectly apply to other working fields.
Catch .44 (2011)
Waste
What a waste of good actors making such a terrible and boring movie. Lots of gun shots, blood, and slow dialogs. I just kept pressing forward hoping for it to get better but it never did.
Operator (2015)
Oscar for the worst acting movie
I'd give the oscar to Mischa Barton for maintaining the same expression the whole movie, weather she talks to her daughter or a criminal. It could've been a great thriller bit it was like watching a video game...... no emotions. Waste of time.
The Bridges of Madison County (1995)
Top
One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. For me, one of the best performances of Meryl Streep as well.
Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
Lovely
I just love this movie, there's everything in it, drama, comedy, drama, love, great atmospheres, beautiful places. All actors in it are superb and that english sense of humor is so unique.
I Accuse (2003)
Forensic Files
Unfortunately, I first saw the episode in tv as an episode of Forensic Files, one of the best stories in fact (Season 6 episode 18 calles Bad Blood). I say unfortunately because I was expecting the movie to be at least as intense as the episode on tv but it wasn't at all. Besides the fact that they don't even tell the whole story in the movie. The doctor raped his step daughter as well and the real Kimberly was much more likable. I feel like they wasted the opportunity to tell an incredible story.
Double Identity (2009)
Boring
It's kind of tiering watching this kind of movies. Bad guys with big "soviet" accents and then a then the heroic pretty girl. Seams a bad version of a Mission Impossible movie. The difference is that at least Tom Cruise makes thing less boring.
Open Water 2: Adrift (2006)
Lost respect
After 30 minutes I've completely lost respect for the characters so by the 40th minute, I didn't really care what happen to them (except for the baby of course). The only thing missing was a shark attracted by all that blood. Makes me also laugh that every time there's Mexico involved in some film, the first music you here is Spanish music. Flamenco from Spain. Terrible film in every sense.
Unhinged (2020)
Terrible
It had a good beginning but terrible non sense sequence. Russel Crowe was amazing as usual, specially with this kind of roles but the script was really unrealistic. I wouldn't recommend to watch this movie to anyone.
Song to Song (2017)
What a waste
When I saw the cast I couldn't believe I was just about to see a lot of my favorite actors together in one movie. So it started and it was slow but I kept watching hoping to see a change for the better but it only got worse. Even the music was terrible and all that movement of the camera got me sick. I also saw the location, Yucatan, Mexico, and I expected to see beautiful beaches and views but I guess the chose the worse part of Yucatan to shoot the scenes. What a waste of cast.
Passengers (2016)
Great movie
I loved the story, the atmospheres, the music, the lights. All so modern but cozy at the same time. Great movie, I've seen it 3 times already and I don't get tired because J. Lawrence and Ch. Prat did such an excellent job. Bravo !
