Andor: Kassa (2022)
Now this is a story from the galaxy far, far away
This was reported to be a different kind of show and it really is, but in a good way. As a fan of prequels, this episode is one of the first ever since to really do justice to the beautiful and compelling galaxy of Star Wars. The story seems well written and the pacing is appropriate. Some of the previous series have either been VERY slow or skipped through interesting parts, but this episode seems only to present what's necessary, and then explore it as much as needed. What's best, you can see the storyline's gonna take quite a few episodes to unfold. The characters are well written, and, fortunately, no wokeness detected in them, so we're back to Star Wars default. It's interesting to see what this show's gonna be like.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (2022)
Not a bounty hunter story
After a slow start I was expecting a more action packed and a more complicated storyline, where Boba Fett would do what he's used to. The characters were solid, so now it was just up to the story.
But what did we get? Cultural and a bit woke drama episode with dull storyline that doesn't proceed. Boba Fett is old and doesn't use his cool weapons. The action parts are predictable and not really Star Wars type.
The Jango Fett scenes from AOTC were great, the Mandalorian action scenes with Boba Fett were cool, the Rogue One and Solo Story's action scenes were cool. Even the Clone Wars' action scenes and storyline were interesting, despite being animated.
But this episode was boring.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Solid action movie but dull
The movie has interesting characters and solid action, but it doesn't settle or have any depth with characters. Quite a typical "oppressed females" plot. The plot is also very cliché. Similar to new star wars movies, but much worse.
