Godzilla (1998)
CHIP GAGGLESBORN REVIEWS "GORJIRA"
I caught this movie on T.V. the other day, and it was spectacular. An all star cast matches wits against a nuclear altered iguana. Godzilla is a nonstop, heart pounding thrill ride all the way. The audience is shocked, however, when Godzilla is seemingly killed about a half hour into the movie. The audience is shocked again to see that in the end--wait, wait, I won't give away the ending for those of you who haven't seen it(If you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for?). The audience is confronted with a new feature to Godzilla: he reproduces. Wait, what am I saying? Godzilla has had a child before, so I guess it's nothing new, but it has never been to this magnitude before. He is able to lay two hundred eggs at a time. The nuclear blast makes Godzilla and all of his offspring asexual, so that means if Godzilla can lay two hundred eggs, each one of those eggs can lay two hundred more eggs.Let's see, that makes about...WOW! That's a lot of Godzillas. Behind all that action/adventure, and dazzleling special effects, the movie has an overall good message about the world: "Don't let the French handle any nuclear weapons." I'm sure you'll love the 1998 movie, "Godzilla" as much as I did.
Animal Planet ZOOventure (1997)
CHIP GAGGLESBORN REVIEWS "ANIMAL PLANET ZOOVENTURE"
Don't get to close to your television, because there are four contestants ready to go wild and crazy for the ultimate prize, to be "Zookeeper for a Day". Filmed in sunny California at the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, ZOOventure delivers a healthy dose of friendly compotition. The host, JD Roth, is an added bonus to the show's appeal. ZOOventure sports many different kinds of games, that are fun for both the contestant and the viewer. The show's final game "The ZOOfari Challenge" is a strenuios simulation of what it is like to a zookeeper. The lucky boy/girl who has the skill and endurence to win "The ZOOfari Challenge" gets to be "Zookeeper for a Day", but mind you no one goes home a loser on ZOOventure. With each game you learn a little more about your favorite animals, on top of that in between games you are invited to meet some of the rarest animals and learn about them as well. ZOOventure is a show where you have fun and learn at the same time. This is a show that should be a hit with children of all ages. So sit down with your kids and a bowl of popcorn, and get ready for an exciting episode of "ANIMAL PLANET ZOOVENTURE"!
Street Fighter (1994)
CHIP GAGGLESBORN REVIEWS "STREET FIGHTER" WITH JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME
I never knew that Jean Claude's acting ability could be as stiff as the animation for the game under the same title (go rent it tonight). The thing that I was pleased to see was the entrance of Ryu's fireball, also know as the energy wave "HA-DO-KEN". It is shown to the audience as a frame of white. This movie was like eating golf balls, it was hard to swallow. I recommend this movie.
