It's been a love hate viewing of a topic area I tend to really like. As an example the walking dead lost me after they had some combat like engagements at close range and despite launching 1000's of rounds at point blank range, very few people ever seem to catch a round. I watched an episode where the .50 cal made sparks of the front of a vehicle which is completely inaccurate. The .50 cal was designed to disable vehicles - so a false representation of reality.
In this case the representation of the US military chaps my ass because they make every one of them look like they came from a bar at closing hour. Unkempt hair, beards, incorrect rank, rank upside down, wrong patches - just turns me off to see they didn't invest a little into having a consultant correct them.
Some have said the quick vignettes were corny, I tend to like this, but I agree they needed to try and help stick everything together better because for some reason the directors needlessly jumped forward and backward in time every 5 minutes. Some of the long single shot cuts where we'll done but again ruined by horrible story telling.
I also thought if this represents America more people would be armed and running around with weapons.
