...but still good. However, the main thing that has been bothering me in the past few episodes is this idea that they can magically reset time. Now, I know Jack and the gang aren't physicists, but that is basically impossible. Even if somehow it managed to create a diverging timeline, the Jack who set off the bomb (along with the Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, etc. Who exist in this reality) would be dead. He would never experience L. A. X. Charlie and Boone would still be dead, but in another reality, a different version of them would exist. Also, if their plane never crashed on the island, they wouldn't have been in the 70's to detonate the bomb, meaning they wouldn't have stopped the plane from crashing. So, obviously as we see in part two, things don't work out, so really this whole plotline was pointless because logically it never could've worked. However, I like almost everything else. Juliet is my favourite character in this episode, and I nearly cried when she told Sawyer why she changed her mind. How dare Kate and Sawyer break her heart. It broke mine too. Finally, Rose and Bernard show up. They are so sweet and allow some tenderness and happiness sneak into this episode. The flashbacks are excellent and intriguing, with my personal favourite being Jack's. Again, Ben is my favourite TV villain, if he can even be called that at this point. My only other gripe is Jack's purpose. You cannot make cataclysmic decisions based on your on-again, off-again girlfriend who may be in love with another man. I thought it might have something to do with him always needing to be the hero. I think that would've worked better honestly. Final note: the showdown between Jack and Sawyer really had a finale feeling to it. Big things to come.

One of the main reasons I rated this episode so high is because Kate is one of my least favourite characters, and yet I really liked this episode. Finally Kate does something other than run through the jungle yelling, "Sawyer!" or "Jack!" (although there is a bit of that) and it did a lot of good for her character. She now has the clearest purpose on the show. At least someone cares about Claire. The scene where Kate's friend tells her that it wasn't Aaron that needed Kate, but Kate that needed Aaron, was excellent. However, Jack has again become annoying. The Jack that always has to save everyone and be the hero would never let Ben die, especially as a child. I guess you could chalk it up to a moment of weakness. Juliet is awesome as always. Lastly, to everyone talking about the paradoxes, what are you on about? As a person who is fascinated by the physics behind time, I saw no real problem. Sure, it's kind of convenient, but not impossible. Whatever happened, happened, as Miles reminds Hurley. Sayid always shot Ben, and Richard always healed Ben, consequently taking his innocence and turning him into the lying murderer we know today.

This episode was already weak, but it had the misfortune of being the episode directly after "Flashes Before Your Eyes", one of the best episodes this season. First of all, Jack falls in love with every woman he meets on the show. Him and Kate kiss, he flirted with Ana Lucia in the airport bar, he married a former patient, he kissed the daughter of another patient, he has chemistry with Juliet, and in this episode, he meets Achara. It seems Jack has never met a women he didn't like. Anyways, the plot of this episode was so frustrating. It felt like Lost: Love Story. I don't care about Kate and Sawyer bickering. Karl and Alex are cute, admittedly. They even throw in some romantic tension between Jack and Juliet. The Others are completely inconsistent in their ideology. It went nowhere. The secret mystical Thailand adventure was absurd. Imagine if this story was set in Texas or something. It wouldn't work. Besides that, Jack is also making a habit of trailing women and being aggressive towards them. The meaning of the tattoo was cool, but what about the other parts of it? They weren't even on his arm in the flashback. This could've been done better.

I have to say I don't understand why people hate Ana Lucia. I personally thought she was an awesome character, tough as nails but controlled by her emotions. Her story is heartbreaking. So far, none of Kate's episodes have compelled me to feel as much as Ana Lucia's. She's so interesting. Although I thought it was rather pointless and strange to have her and Sawyer get together, the rest of this episode is pretty good. I feel like there could've been a better reason for Ana Lucia to end up in Australia, but it was still cool to see another appearance by Jack's dad. At this point, he's basically more of a main character than Rose because it feels like he's had more screen time. Anyways, the twist was completely shocking and I'm sad to see Ana Lucia and Libby go.

It seems this episode isn't well liked, and for good reasons. It was hard to watch as someone who likes Charlie. I love the family dynamic between him and Claire, and how he takes care of Aaron. It hurts to watch that go up in smoke in this episode. However, I think Charlie deserves some repercussions for his actions. He's a liar. I am sympathetic to him though. I do wish someone would give him a break because he is a recovering addict, but Locke seems to be more worried about the baby's safety. Neither Charlie or Locke are perfect. The baptism also seemed to be an anti-climactic ending. I thought Charlie's dreams would have a further meaning. I liked the flash backs, and the surreal dreams.

I love this episode. I know some people were bothered by the theme, but it's an obvious joke, as implied by the end tag (which was hilariously uncomfortable). This was an excellent episode, and an exceptional character study. Frankie has some of her funniest lines in this episode, we really get a good sense of who she is, and that sense is strangely tragic. Her comedic timing and delivery were spot on. Next, Jeff is exactly who we'd expect him to be, doing good to inflate his own ego. This time though, he really does try. His speech took effort, and even though he might have done it for himself the most, at least he could admit he had done wrong and owed Garrett. Britta was awesome, I was happy to see her on her own, not constantly being brought down by Jeff and the others, calling her the worst and making her feel more worthless than she already does. Although I never really connected with Elroy, I love his addiction to encouraging white people. It's really funny, the stuff he says about them being pessimistic and bringing each other down is true of all people, and we could all do well to encourage each other more often. Todd is also just the right mix of sweet and unbalanced, and Chang brings this episode to an ending that is rightly bizarre.

Excellent. The Goonies homage was perfect, from the dean talking over Abed about how the goonies all talk at the same time, to Abed's speech to Annie. Russell Borchert was funny, especially when saying things like, "someone would have to have stronger feelings than I get when I rub my nipples. Good luck with that." The secret door song was clever, and Duncan made an appearance (something I always appreciate). Richie the school board guy is among my favourite side characters because of his mind reading abilities, and the reveal at the end that Hickey was thinking of hang gliders was genius. The only things that do bother me are the fact that Shirleys swept to the side with Hickey, and the implication that his feelings towards Annie opened the door. I love the idea that his love of all his friends and the school and his fondness of what they've given him is strong enough to open the door. Honestly, if it was meant to be interpreted as his love for Annie, I think that undermines what the shows been about. The bonds and connections between people, romantic and platonic.

Abed trying to 'shake the story' felt a bit contrived, but led to some clever and funny moments. Overall, I feel like his character isn't quite the same as the more apathetic but loveable Abed from previous seasons. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I connect with him a lot less this season. However, I love the pairing of Abed, Annie, and the Dean. Their dance at the end was so cute, and a really great way to break the tension of the previous scene with Jeff and Britta. While we're on the subject, I want to say that Britta is at her best here, a real person instead of the over exaggerated dumb blonde character she's devolved into. Jeff proposing to her does seem right, at least in the moment. Their chemistry is undeniable here, and I honestly rooted for them for the first time since the first season. They were both so happy. Also, side note, Chang being an absolutely useless antagonist is hilarious. When he wrote tomato on the paper instead of the information he overheard, I couldn't even handle it. I laughed a lot at this episode. Well done community.

I won't say I hate this episode, but I don't like it. Season four is noticeably weaker than the previous three, but there were some good moments (Basic Human Anatomy). However, there are 2 episodes which bother me the most. The first is Conventions of Space and Time, in which Britta is the worst and the show runners thought it was a good idea to play around with Troy and Abed's dynamic. Britta and Troy and so weird together, and the subplot of Annie pretending to be married to Jeff is so annoying (seriously, there's an episode from season three in which Annie addresses the fact that she doesn't love Jeff, she loves the idea of being loved). Then this episode. Who thought of this episode? It's so strange, with the awful special effects, forced references, and terrible ending. Annie is so annoying in this episode. Whether or not you think Annie and Jeff should be together, you have to acknowledge that Annie should have a character outside of that. She's boiled down to a type-a student with a crush. Her saying, "nobody sleeps with Jeff, not even me", is cringe worthy. Aside from that, Britta being dumb wasn't funny here, and the whole thing was too cheesy. The reveal that Jeff imagined it all was ridiculous.

I loved Arrested Development. The originality this show had is almost absent from modern television. Every character is hilarious, and the relationships they have with each other are stunningly real and funny. I have never seen anything like it. The little details, like Tobias leaving blue smears on the wall, to the subtle clues leading up to the seal incident put this show above others, which prioritize easy laughs and rely heavily on physical comedy.

The show ended after being cancelled in its third season. The ending was actually quite fitting. For me, and many others, this was the perfect goodbye to our favourite dysfunctional family. To be honest, I was really happy to see George Michael and his dad taking care of themselves for once.

Then Netflix revives it seven years later. Season four drags, and i find myself waiting for the episodes to end. I was bored, something that had never happened to me when i was watching the original. Michael had always been flawed, but now he was pathetic. It made the ending of season three feel pointless. Everyone is back to where they started. There were some funny moments, but not enough to even compare to the original.

Jim Carrey has made a name in over the top comedy. Not everybody likes his humour, and his films are not to my taste, but I saw Ace Ventura, and I thought it was fun. I cannot say the same for Yes Man. It feels like Liar Liar, but hopped up on nonsense and less funny. I'm not sure if it's a romcom or straight up comedy, but either way it was disappointing.

The lesson of the movie is shallow (which is only fitting because Bradley Cooper is in this movie) and because it's such a simple idea, it makes Carrey's character annoying for his inability to grasp it.

There were funny parts, and I did like the scene where he stops the man from jumping off the ledge, but there were too many bad moments. The scene with the old woman is disgusting, Danny Masterson's character has no purpose, and the entire end of the movie felt like a hallucination (which it kind of was).

If you want to watch a Jim Carrey movie, I suggest The Truman Show, an excellent story with a wonderful performance by Carrey. I honestly think Jim Carrey was so good in more serious movies, and this movie couldn't live up to those other ones I'd seen him in.
