Missing the point
25 March 2009
I do feel that some of the comments made are missing the point. The programme is for entertainment and bears more relevance to Question of Sport which is an excellent quiz show mixed with lots of comical quips, and for the most part the competition become irrelevant. "Who cares who about the sport? and who cares who wins?"

I can understand that they are playing for money, but if money was the issue there more lucrative quiz shows they could appear on, one thousand pounds increase per day is not really a significant amount compared to Millionaire.

The main plot of the program is to win against the best quiz team in the country (I agree with the comments about CJ attitude as a smug little know all when compared to the quality of the rest of the team especially Daphne and Kevin), but to lose gracefully to the Eggheads is also an achievement.

All I can say if you want a quiz program then watch Mastermind or University Challenge, but if you want entrainment mixed with a quiz show with some humour after coming home from work to chill then you would find it hard to beat Eggheads and Anne Robinson quips in the Weakest Link Joe

Sunday Night have been brightened up
2 November 2008
I wish people would look at the alternative, especially for a Sunday.

BH is lively, bouncy and entertaining unless you're a "Song of Praise" Follower. (but then I suppose you would be either dead or very close to it LOL)

The acting can be classed as cheesy but think of "X Factor The Auditions" i.e. lots of crap enlightened by some small miracles. But most of all what we are all watching "is a British production." So can we appreciate some home grown attempts rather than the American crap that which often abuses all of our screens.

It's only too easy to slate a program in the beginning, but how many programs in the past first impressions have looked poor at the beginning the turned out to be a great success, just takes time for the actors to develop the characters and enforce the scenario.
