The Chosen: Matthew 4:24 (2021)
Great episode with amazing cinematography
The first 13 minutes of this episode is all done in one take, which takes a massive amount of skill to do. Props to the actors and directors for doing a fantastic job with this sequence. The way that the camera follows characters around, moving from one conversation to the next is incredible. Once the sequence is over we have a scene where Jesus' followers talk around the fire. I also love this scene because of how much it shows the character behind each of the followers. This show realises that it's important to have scenes where Jesus isn't present because it reminds us how much we need him. Don't get me wrong, scenes with Jesus are just as important. But I notice that a lot of other media about the life of Christ just shows us that he is here to save us. This show takes it to another level and shows us that he's here to save us AND why he's here to save us.
Spider-Man (2018)
Amazing
I know a lot of people have already said this. But it really does make you feel like Spider-Man. The mechanics are incredible, there are so many ways to swing your way through the city. The combat is so diverse in all of the ways you can take down enemies. Unlike in a lot of older Spider-Man games when you would just use the same combo to take out all of the enemies. It provides a nice challenge and a solid story altogether in one game.
Miracle Maker (2015)
1.5 hours of bad acting and stock footage
The acting, with the exception of Brian Krause, is horrid. The whole movie looks like something that could be taken off of a stock video site. But besides that, the overall message was nice. The planting seeds allegory was a nice touch. This feels like something that should have been a short film, not dragged on for an hour and a half. So overall it was a nice story that was dragged out way too long and was butchered by the bad a acting.
