I'm not a person who likes cartoons or anime and though this has a cartoonish feel with the rotoscoping, which I was unaware of until I heard about the movie, I was very impressed. There is warmth and depth of the characters and you feel for their plight. The young actor playing Todd, Ethan Walker, was outstanding. He reminds me a bit of Heath Ledger. There is the vulnerability there that Heath often exuded. I expect great things from him!

David Selby is of course as fabulous as always! He can make the devil appear to be most charming! Lucifer Gray reminded me somewhat of Richard Channing. Suave and likeable but heartless. Super performance! Would have liked to have seen his face some without the rotoscoping, though!

The colors are great and beautiful. I like seeing the images of Los Angeles in this way. And the story makes you feel sad that the once beautiful country is now a large, sprawling city. I was so glad that Ansel did not resort to outlandish violence or a stereotypical cartoonish story. The science fiction aspect was well done. Very believable and it fit perfectly well into the story.

I Had heard the podcast with Ansel, David and Nathan on Terror at Collinwood and it inspired me to check out the movie. I have not seen any of Ansel's other movies but will definitely check them out. This one, however, I have the feeling is his best to date. The other cast members were also great! And Lacy Salome was quite fun!

I highly recommend it anyone! Great job! I look forward to more outstanding works from Ansel, David and Nathan!

I was surprised to learn I had access to this delightful series on Britbox. It also introduced me to Arnold Bennett's work which I had not been aware of.

This series is very well done. I was most impressed by the compelling story and charming grace of the main characters. Peter Davison is quite remarkable as Henry. It is no wonder his career skyrocketed after this series. I was also delighted to see young Anton Lesser. His acting talent in Anna of Five Towns is very much apparent.

The series is very true to Bennett's text. I love the casting. So wonderful to see character actors that depict real people without the Hollywood glamour.

I highly recommend this series!

Very good, funny comedy with great main actors. Doesn't try to be academy award material. I don't understand the negative reviews. Enjoy it for what it is. Sit back and enjoy the antics. Very bad villain that needs his comeuppance.

Main characters are funny, brave and spirited. Beautiful scenery. Light fare. Good to see the relationship between Mr. Jones and Ms. Jones reveal itself.

Beautiful, well done, engaging film. Refreshing to see characters with scruples who learn lessons about others. Appears to be accurate representation of overbearing parents out to make money on their child's career. On point depiction of young girls crazed by teen idol movie actor and the social media craze associated with it.

A good lesson in how not to judge another person's character.

Beautiful scenery. I thought the chemistry between the two main characters was good. Enjoyed seeing Vanessa Redgrave as a cantankerous old lady.

I really enjoyed the film and highly recommend it.

Sad realistic drama set in mountains of West Virginia. Unfortunately, too many members of our society have addiction problems and this movie shows the pain and gut-wrenching reality of it. Well done by Stewart. Special shout-out to veteran actor David Selby as Waylon's dad. Excellent portrayal of typical Appalachian father unable to deal with his own emotions.
