Mystery Incorporated (2022)
ill give this a 10/10 due to shooting this on a £20,000 budget!
Yes you read that right 20 grand and people are moaning that scoobie doo doesnt talk!.so i found this on youtube not sure how it popped up on my feed but it did and was pleasantly surprised how good it was.a scoobie doo for grown ups but didnt realise it was being crowd funded.this has been made to look netflix esq show with just a fraction of the cost in making it.ive watched films that have been made on a shoe string budget and it shows but you dont notice it with this at all.i dont think i know any of the cast but 2 of them are the writers of the show and when you hear them speaking pasionantly about their baby you can tell they have put so much effort into their baby they want this to succeed.the extra scenes ive seen on the imbd website looks like they are doing episode 2 due to bits that wasnt in the first episode.fingers crossed first episode drew over 3,000,000 views over a year and maybe a netflix will take a chance on them.i have put a little donation on their indigogo crowdfund website.every little helps!
Znaki (2018)
please not another netflix show left on a knife edge!
I really enjoyed this show.very much a who dunnit murder mystery in the first season then goes a little sci-fi for the second season.im a little cheesed this looks like its been cancelled due to 3 years since season 2 dropped and as per usual left on a cliffhanger which seems to be a trait of netflix nowadays.this will be their downfall, people dont want to watch a half finished production.think if you went to see a movie and it stopped half way through it would you not feel cheated?.should be a rule that whatever the viewership is,it should have a conclusion to the story or a statement on the thumbnail stating this program has stopped being made and that it has finished without being complete.im just getting annoyed i put effort into getting right into a show for it to be axed.
Popeye (1980)
short but sweet
This film is near on as old as me and i had never watched this due to its bad publicity and critics but just watched this and was blown away not only by its story but acting too.robin williams shows what he could do in his first film he was ever in playing popeye and shelly duvall is olive oyl.if you can picture the cartoons of popeye then they both look and act like them.the story can be a little jumpy sometimes but if your wanting to get a kids film for a family night you cant go wrong with this.classy wholesome fun that leaves you warm after you watch this.
Another Earth (2011)
blown away
I'll keep this short and sweet. just watched this for the first time today and the storytelling and depth of this movie is exactly what i would expect from something written by brit marling.i think 20+ years from now she will be looked back on as one of the best and understated writers and actresses of her generation.made the right move from working in banking to something she feels passion for or we may never of had these gems like another world or the oa.i do think you need to be a thinker when watching these but that's what is so great about them
