There's only one way of making a documentary
2 November 2014
And that's your own.

A Curious Life is well made and noticeable with esprit. There are many funny, interesting, touching and freakshow bits - tough to choose five favourite moments.

All in all a joy to watch & like the cinematic encore to the book Dance Before The Storm - The Official Story of the Levellers by George Berger (1998).

For fans only? "Let's watch a music/band documentary!" is good enough here too - and this rather different program ends pretty sure worth the choice.

Besides that I was almost in the mood to cry; the return to the live debut venue is a / the only painful missing piece - no matter how the art college basement looks today - if the place still exists.

A Curious Life is a character piece & presents the band history on a very own way. A brilliant effort by the film-maker Dunstan Bruce. I can see it even on a level with Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster.

9+/10.
