I like interesting films, this film just not... But the director done good on shooting, so I will give a 7, or else it just 6 or 5.5 for the content.

The problem is, it's a nothing new movie, I'd seen those kind of story so many times, every biographic film got this plot, and so many classic films give this kind of feeling. Easy to guess, with an tragic ending like always. Above all, I really hate the way they solve the problem, actually, nothing been solve, just let the man died in the end and that all we got. Lately, many good films got another way to end, 'Moffie' and 'Canarie' has the same background, but it touch me more than this ending.

"Maurice" is in 1987 too, I know that it been retouch and became super clear, but how the hell this film can be so blurred? Well, nevermind, cause this film is so freaking good, the only problem is it too short, only 45 minutes. If i made a compare, this film will beat up all those coming of age film now and then. It's beautiful, good message, nice actor, warm heart. The best thing is that this film just focus on the character that those parents and friend don't even show their face. Just he and him, summer times, meet by chance, love by the sea, the wind and the sand. When this two together I don't know why but I saw an immortal, they in Aids era, they're only 20, and just met 10 weeks since highschool (back then they rarely know each other), they'd made the best partners forever and maybe until now they already get married by law and have childrens. The end with "next week" instead of "Easter" meld my heart, that's so sweet :')

I'd like to give 5 start but this film been done so good that nothing I can point out, except the tragic story of its which I hate the most. This "Charlatan" gentlement been built so good that I wish he had a better end, It hurt me so bad to watch the film till the end, thinking of what'll happened next, knowing it not gonna be good, like all others bioraphy film. It just sad, really sad :(((

I love this, this is my own taste, and I have to admit that I have a low-taste, but come on, this film don't deserved all that hateful reviews, it really not that bad. First - it has a handsome cast with not too bad acting (I'd seen really bad acting films, and it worse more than this), second - it has a story, and it attracted me, I really like this kind of love and obsession things. Many people don't understand why Jack love John for 20 years, and then why John suddenly love him back, but I do, I get it. There loves in life you'll never forget, it like a fire always burn slowly in Jack and John heart, you can easily see that John and Jack fancy each other since childhood, but John so affair of everything (that why he push Jack, and then never come out to his family until that dinner) and Jack is too scare and shy, because John ignore and cold to him, so Jack just fool himself that John have feelings for him but don't show it, that why he just keep thinking about John for 20 years later, first love that something you'll never forget right? but Jack can't sure if John really have feelings for him, that just his obsession... so that how the story go and how it make me so happy to see they end up together. This film like a fairy tail, it really have a wake-up kiss like "Sleeping Beauty" and I love it, it so sweet... and then they live happy ever after :)))). The dialogues are good, it means, something that many others film had said, but in this film it still touch me, that after all "All you need is love", that when Jack said that he doesn't want to fight back, he need love back, you can see how much he want this relationship, that he need John in his life so much but at that times he so hopeless, because he feel so unsure, because it twenty years between them and John still in a role of a bad-boy, because "you can't be a fool all the time", beside, he has his dream, that he been trying to gain it as hard as he can, he has responsibility for his son too, that make he a hard choice, but thankfully, all the character in this film just such good people (maybe too good to be true) and just want Jack and John to be happy, but it a film anyway, a little dreamy can be accepted. Finally - all about the bad things about China culture or people or accent or bla bla... i don't care about it just until someone speak it out, this film just totally a love story from start till end for me, some character like "Marco" just appear in many gay films, and what the matter if he is "Chinese" make it a offense??? this film not nominated for an Oscar anyway, so don't be too hard for it, it's a good film help me out for a tough day, so I love it!!!

First, i have to said that i have a little disappointed, cause i thought this was a selcest film or something, but it not, however, this still not a boring film, maybe because i like to watch "intense" movies, i like to see "gazes", "distant look", "wet dreams", some "fantasy" thing like obsessed with s.o so much and becoming a spychopath later ... all of this things always make me so horny, anyway, this film has a good stalking vibes, good actors, nice chemistry (i really love the scene this guy walk in and just because he so lonely and confuse that he kiss this Matthew guy immediately, and they just being together like that, without any word!), i don't know why people hate this film, it not a bad filming at all, except some meaningless scene like the city, building, water, tree... it okay to let them in, but in this film, it too much, and so many long scene that unecessary, and so much picture that it look like a stop-motion one, but i still like this plot, and this film too, it clean, fresh and horny, this cp is so good, too bad they made it turn into a thriller movie :((((((

I was hope that this d uilm at least will have some investigate, some useful inference or some proof to think about, but nothing happened, they just walk around, talk, drink coffee, eat, go to scrime scene several times (which have nothing to see because it haven't been showed), then they use some "spirit" skill to break the case, that all, the background is really good, all those places and items look professtional but just lead to a nonsense movie, with silly converstations, long-non-essential sex scenes and a boring love story, it go nowhere from start till end, i think that the director should never make a film again, this even worse than 'capital game', i think it'll good on book, but not on a film because they make it suck.

I would take my time to watch thia film because of such beautiful landscape, or just to look at these eyes, without regret, they so sad, anytime the music come, i just feel so painful but don't know why, the atmosphere always so quiet, they just look at each other in silent, and then they said they can't be together though their eyes show that there so much love between them. Like in day1 they had love each other, but they can't, especially in their country, i'd enough of tragic love stories, but this times this film is really memorable, touch my heart and my feeling, i feel miserable but in the final scene i smile, cause at least they can be together now, heaven or hell.

A guy walk around to find something or maybe somewhere he belong. I'm so glad to hear that this film is totally filmed in Vietnam, my country, it's exciting waiting... but nothing really been showed. This film has a really boring plot, it just about this guy, take a trip from Saigon to Hanoi with no purpose (not to find love, or a home, he just simple following his memory when his family been here), and then he chose to stay (which i don't know why, if it because Vietnam is his hometown, then it sound so unreal, or because the man he love here, then it weird because this lover-guy not even a Vietnamese, so it make no sense and no related at all) the scrip easy to guess, no climax or impressed scene, it almost no meaning at all. This film has a silent vibes which really comfor me, but the scrip just can be saved. Boring. But i still watch it, cause i love my country and really happy to see it on a foreign director's movie.
