What was all that for, almost feels like I wasted 104 minutes.
Hae Sung (Main character) just felt like an empty vessel that kept on showing up to get his old sweetheart back, i barely remember him even tho I watched the film 10 minutes prior. I expected quite a lot more from this film yet it didn't deliver. It had some scenes that just felt so abnormal and difficult to watch with exhausting dialogue, I expected much more fascinating discussions from people who haven't talked since over 10 years back. Instead of all these hard-to-watch scenes, they should have just let the poor husband go and then she could run away to Korea with the guy, cuz that is ultimately what happens after the end credits roll. The film was not terrible, but not great either, it felt very slow yet it seemed like they rushed the plot insanely fast. However they chose to show us all these long, silent, and supposed to be meaningful scenes, but that doesn't work because there isn't any depth, breathing space, or enough time or scenes to make us sympathize with them. Furthermore, given all that when the film is supposed to reach its climax it truly doesn't hit for me since they seemed like strangers to me, all it accomplished for me was to feel awful for the husband who I felt was the only genuine person in this film.
