One Missed Call (2008)
Not a disappointment at all
I thought this was a decent movie with a little bit of Final Destination sprinkled in. The acting was believable and not overdone. I was prepared to be disappointed after reading other reviews but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The special effects weren't cheezy and there wasn't gratuitous blood and gore. A few twists towards the end legitimized it as a horror/thriller as good as any other. I do wish it had contained some scenes that would have made me jump out of my chair as I always appreciate a good scare here and there. It wasn't flaky, corny or cheezy by any means. I'm glad I watched it.

What a ridiculous waste of film
This is one of the most incohesive movies I've ever seen. The creator/writer must have thought his audience knew what he was thinking. So much unexplained content, you could have broken the film into 10 minute increments, randomly rearranged them and the movie would have made as much sense. The concept has potential, but you have to give the audience more to work with than this movie was able to. It was shot way too dark. What was the point of having windows, doors and toilets vanishing? Was the mother home? If so, who was the father talking to on the phone? We heard him leave in the car, but nothing of him returning. Did he actually return or was his presence after that real?

What a waste of film!
This has got to be, so far, the worst movie I have ever seen! Many parts are over-acted and many parts are under-acted. This film has no purpose and no story. It seems that the creator was desperately trying to make some sort of cult classic but it's just stupid. I suppose that the only good that has come out of it is that it employed many people from the actors to the production crew. That really is the only generous thing I can say about this horrid piece of garbage. I have never left such an abusive review but this movie must be some sort of joke. It asks nothing, it challenges nothing, it is nothing.
