Entertaining

The impression of the title and released poster of this drama first caught my attention. Aside from Jang Hyuk's casting, investigative series is quite fun to watch. So I had high hope that this would give me rides of hurly-burly.

Well, this drama is not at best of my expectation, however, it never lets me go. You can expect layers of villains that hold grip the viewers to satisfy their curiosity. The dark vibes, the brutality, and gruesomeness of the killing method are linked to the thrilling elements. I say, I enjoyed the first episode to eight, quite emotional and intense, but after that, I feel like it started going downhill.

The story is heavy, but it seemed something was missing. I find some repeated scenes like running out of steam, and some storytelling needlessly convoluted. Character's development of the main two leads is reliable, while some are just plainly flat and overdone. Acting-wise is good, but not that superb. The plot twist doesn't surprise me since my guess was right.

Is this drama worth watching? of course, I'm just telling it's still entertaining.

Must watch this!

If you'll give a chance to reset your life, will you do it? Some would and maybe wouldn't. But for me, I'll take the chance, who knows my life would be better. But apart from this drama, the 10 lives of people were put in danger by resetting their lives. Where did it go wrong? for you to find out.

I love this series, it's a piece of jewel to watch. The plot is solid and the story is like a roller coaster of suspense and unpredictability. The twist is endless while you can't stop trying to predict everything, then you don't have a choice but to trust no one anymore.

Everything here is new and refreshing. While the pacing of this drama keeps you on the edge of your seat, the thrill of what's going to happen next is real. I love both of the protagonists, character-wise; smart and fighters. And though they don't execute romance, their chemistry is a blast.

Prison Playbook (2017–2018)

Prison Playbook surprised me!

Prison Playbook surprised me. I was imagining a vicious action but turned out to be unexpectedly emotional, heartwarming and hysterically funny.

The plot of this drama shows not only about the story of our protagonist who has the determination, kindness and the modesty but also with the life of people around him battering with struggles, regrets, and redemption. Even the smallest details make each of the characters sensible to the whole journey of the story.

The casting is perfect. It was so refreshing to see different kinds of lawbreakers who wonderfully develop a kind of friendship that you never expected to be. Many things have happened inside the prison that makes the viewer anticipates every episode and a lot of things to learn.

Prison Playbook is kind of a drama that will take you to humanity. It will test your empathy or stick to whatever belief you have about a person who breaks the law.

Hospital Playlist (2020–2021)

I can't wait for season 2

This drama deserves the attention and love from the viewers. It's full of lessons about friendship, family, humanity, and love. No dramatic twist, no political treachery and no characters to be hated. Simply, it showcased empathy rather than an individual's story. It made you smile, laugh, cries, and surely will miss your friends especially these pandemic situations.

For the first episode, you might be confused about the characters and faces because there are so many casts; Doctors, Nurses, Interns, and others. But as the story progresses you can identify them and you'll be impressed how well the story lined up from the hospital to playlist. This drama gives you a warm touch with morals and lessons that are taught throughout the 12 episodes.

Bravo to the main cast because they lived their characters impressively. Each portrayal has its own unique factors and differences. I love their music, their band, and bonding. I love this medical drama, and I can't wait for season 2 hopefully by next year.

I recommend this drama for another experience of fantasy.

I assume this drama is not everyone's cup of tea. Confusions are here and there, negative comments are constant, the comparison of writer's previous work, rating to count and even lack of main leads' chemistry has been criticized. Some people might not like this drama, but we cannot deny the more it has been debated, the more it became popular.

To immerse yourself in the story doesn't mean you have to be intelligent or smart, you just have to pay attention to the characters and events both in two parallel worlds. Since it's a science fiction fantasy genre, you can't expect as normal k-drama presented; there is a piece of theoretical physics. The dialogues and some humor are quite subtle and you can sense some cryptic reference for philosophy. I understand people's grumble, but it doesn't mean the story of this drama is shallow because it isn't at all.

First, I would admit the pacing is quite slow and I have doubts about the main leads' chemistry. But because I was drawn to see the mystery of the story, I was able to follow the bigger pictures coming from bits of its puzzle. This drama is a brain teaser, unique, captivating that leads you to the road of interest; what it is all about? how are they going to unfold the story of each character's connection, how it will end, will it be a happy ending? The King: Eternal Monarch storyline is unpredictable, and that's why I liked it.

The acting performances were remarkable, the cinematography was impressive and the characters are solid. The momentum of evilness is not exaggerated too. Hands down to the writer Kim Eun-Sook who made me wonder if there is really a parallel world, I want to see my counterpart too.
