Brickleberry: Miracle Lake (2013)
Season 2, Episode 1

So close to being an Alright Episode
8 May 2024
This episode of Brickleberry could of been actually good, the main plot is interesting, and I ALMOST found some of the jokes to be funny. But this episode had to ruin it, with a lot of just bland boring stuff, like the B-Plot I could barley even care about, and kinda the wack pacing.

I mentioned the jokes "almost" being funny, and they almost are, but they end up being predicable. If you want to hear more about it, then Jay Exci talks about how the scene in which Woody shows the lake to the other rangers is really unfunny, and how it fails on landing it's jokes.

I also would like to say, that while this episode has decent animation (being the first one to be done in Toon-Boom rather than Flash), it's still very stilted and weird, especially during the Miracle Lake song bit with the backup singers looking dead inside.

Overall, this episode could of been passable, had they not ruined it with horrible pacing and actual funny jokes. But hey, that's just Brickleberry for you.

Paradise PD: Trigger Warning (2021)
Season 3, Episode 4
1/10
American Dad did it better.
23 April 2024
Oh looky, an episode of this show that even fans of it hate... yeah, I'm surprised that people actually enjoy Paradise PD, but hey, at least they can enjoy this show.

That's legit the only reason I watched this episode, to see why even the fans of the show didn't like it, and wow... this episode was dreadful. It's one of those episodes that are about gun control, and yeah, it sucks. Like even if I'm not for guns (cause I live in the UK), this episode is just not funny, I don't know if it's trying to mock both sides, but when the stupid annoying advance-gun people are brought in, I could not even care.

Plus, the whole scene at the NRA Head Quarters, and it's treated like a kid's fun park... yeah, American Dad did it better back in season 1, speaking of which, if you want this episode done right, go watch the episode of American Dad "Stannie Get Your Gun", not only does it tackle the subject in a much better way, it has more to it's story, and is actually funny.

I almost forgot to mention this episode's B-Plot with Bullet the Dog being forced to do Gummi-Bear videos for Dusty... it's just so cringe, that's all.

Yeah, this is one of the worst episodes of this train-wreck of show, like this and "Big B-Energy" are legit so try-hard, and immature. I really wish I could give this one a 0/10.

Paradise PD: Dungeons & Dragnet (2018)
Season 1, Episode 5

Bad Episode, Yet Still the Best in Season 1.
23 April 2024
Paradise PD, AKA Brickleberry but with cops (which the show admits what it really is in multiple episodes). Honestly, going into Paradise PD, I was expecting it to be just be the same as Brickleberry, and yep, I was right... mostly.

The only differences are that they try to have story-arcs through the series (which they don't even bother trying to make sure they're joined naturally with the more episodic plots). And that this show is a lot more "try-hard" with it's immature jokes (as since they're on Netflix, they can do anything really), a lot of which you can just know what the punchline to them will be.

This episode was honestly the least bad episode of Season 1, granted, it's not even a good episode, but hey, at least I could see they at least wanted to try and tell a story. I felt like they wanted to try and make Kevin and Netflix Woody have a more genuine father-son bond, and try to tell a plot about it. But since it's Paradise PD, it doesn't work because they spend most of the time telling unfunny middle school jokes.

American Dad!: Love, AD Style (2012)
Season 8, Episode 1
8/10
A Really, Really Overhated Episode
30 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
"Love, American Dad Style" was an episode I watched for the first time I think back in 2019, I heard that people didn't enjoy the episode at all, thinking it was a low point of the show, but yet I found it to be OK.

Now, looking back on it, and after a lot of the really awful TBS-Era episodes that I've watched of the show since, I feel like fans are way too harsh to this episode, it's really funny. This episode is mainly dark comedy, like, really dark comedy, the plot of Roger getting a crush on Hayley seems like a typical sitcom plot (which the show has joked about before), but the way the episode progresses with Roger's clingy attitude becoming like a stalker toward Hayley is what elevates it. It's suppose to be messed up, that's the point of the episode, you are just waiting for Roger to learn something at the end, but no, the episode punches you with a really messed up, yet funny joke about Roger skinning Jeff, and Hayley's reaction to it being what makes him loose the crush he had. The Stan SUV plot was fine, kinda what puts the episode down to an 8/10 for me, as two of the jokes are just 'Stan accidentally kills people while trying to sell his car' really, but there were still funny moments.

Also, people say that this was the episode that Roger became flanderized as a horrible person? You do realise he's done stuff that's just as bad, if not worse than what he does in this episode, it's part of his character.

Finally, Rachael MacFarlane has an amazing singing voice, if you want to hear a full version of the "Making Whoopie" song Hayley sings in that one scene, check out the album Rachael released around the same time, entitled "Hayley Sings". So, if you love really dark comedic episodes, this one is a good one to watch.

Bluey: Sleepytime (2020)
Season 2, Episode 26

Not the Greatest Thing Ever, but Good for Kids.
10 March 2024
I had to watch this episode with my little cousin, and while I do think that Bluey is a good show for kids, this episode was so boring. So Bluey's sister Bingo has dreams or something, and she's sad about her stuffed toy or something, yeah. I will admit while the animation is pretty good for a kids TV show nowadays (it's much better than say Cocomellon or Little Baby Bum, which NGL, That Name is pretty Cringe), this episode wasn't a masterpiece, it's a good episode for kids, but I don't get why adults are praising it like it's a masterclass in animation, it's not. I think kids will enjoy it still.

What An Amazing Film!
26 August 2023
Meet the Feebles is a movie I heard a few people talk about for years, people saying it was a great movie, while others calling it down right awful, but I hadn't ever gave myself the time to watch it, until sometime in early in 2023, when I deiced to watch it.

When I first sat down to watch it, my mind had gone into it thinking that it would be a film that's just "Look How Shocking and Edgy We Are With PUPPETS", kinda like that awful Happy Time movie. But what I got instead made me more than pleasantly surprised by it, I loved it a lot!

The movie is not only actually funny, but the adult themes of the movie actually have a part in it to show how dark and twisted a lot of the feeble crew are, being kind of a commentary of how the show business industry is full of dark stuff. I think Jackson said it best himself, "The film is a jab at human nature".

As for the puppetry, the amount of effort that was put into making the puppets and props on a low budget is amazing, as it looks brilliant, especially the full body suit for Heidi that was made.

Voice Acting is pretty good, all the voices that the actors give to the characters fit perfectly. The soundtrack is utterly brilliant, full of bits of music that are just straight up bangers to listen to.

I won't spoil the film for anyone, but I'll just tell you know that if you like dark comedy films, as well as movies that are quite experimental, this film is for you.

Brickleberry: Gay Bomb (2012)
Season 1, Episode 6
1/10
Unfunny Outdated Jokes: THE EPISODE!
5 July 2023
Brickleberry is a show that is just basically the equivalent to a comedian going on a stage and saying a bunch offensive things to tick people off for the sake of "comedy", and no episode is proof of that than this one.

The plot involves a bunch of homophobes coming to the park for protesting, or something. Anyway Connie (being the show's punching bag character because she's an ugly woman and a lesbian) finds a "gay bomb" and sets it off in the park, so she can make everyone else gay, but an effect of it is that it makes her now straight.

My first problem with this episode is mainly relies on one whole joke, that being outdated gay stereotypes that feel like they came from the 2000s, rather than 2011 when this episode was written, take for example the sub-plot when everyone turns gay that involves Denzel and Steve arguing who's Woody's boyfriend, it's just there to go "LOL, ISN'T THAT EDGY? LAUGH!".

My second problem (and whole show in general) is that none of these characters are entertaining, they're just horrible people for the sake of comedy, but because of the writing in this show, it falls flat on it's face. Like for example, everyone at the beginning are just really mean towards Connie, which I'd get could actually if we are suppose to sympathise with her, but no, they also make her a horrible person to by purposely setting off the "gay bomb" so she can be with Ethel, who she actually stalks a lot during the cold-open (as well as doing other stalker type of things towards Ethel in other episodes of this show).

Overall, this episode is not worth a watch, LGBTQ+ viewers (like myself) will hate it for being try-hard offensive, adult comedy fans will find it unfunny, and everyone else will find it just plain tiring.

Family Guy: Brian Griffin's House of Payne (2010)
Season 8, Episode 15
2/10
Boring Main Plot, Horrible B-Plot
7 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is down right terrible, the main plot is so boring, it's just Brian trying to make a show, only to have James Woods come in and change everything about it, plus it's not really that funny.

However, it's not the worst part of it, no, the worst part of this episode is the B-Plot, which is probably one of the worst plots ever done in Family Guy. It involves Stewie accidentally having his head cracked open by Meg & Chris, who try to cover it up at first, with Meg later on wanting to take Stewie to the hospital, but nobody listens to her (because it's Season 8 of Family Guy, and Meg is a punching bag still), only to have Peter come in and find out, with it ending up with Peter throwing Stewie under the car when Lois is backing up, to try and pin the blame her. It's actually disgusting.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Fry Legs (2009)

Good Episode (one of my friends' favourites)
22 January 2023
My friend Mrs Mcl told me that this was her favourite episode, and I kinda see where she comes from by saying that.

Frylock is such a funny character, who does something wrong and gets punished in the end, my favourite bit was when he zapped Ray with his lasers, Mcl told me she was laughing on the floor when that part came up.

Meatwad & Master Shake had funny lines when talking to the police too, like silly Meawad being himself, wanting to have a ride in the cop car.

Overall, good episode, my friend Mcl still says it's her favourite, and I can understand why it would be, from the funny comedy to the well creative writing.

Dark but Funny
9 June 2022
"A Ward Show" has got to be one of American Dad's funniest episodes ever, it's full of funny jokes & lines, with most of them being quite dark, but very funny at the same time.

I've seen people call this episode "bad" or state that it's "quite boring", and I can understand people not finding this to be good, I still personally enjoy it.

The Best Short Film of the W&G Series
7 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILER REVIEW*

When people ask what's the best Wallace & Gromit short film, I instantly choose this one, while if we are talking about the franchise in general, "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" is a little bit better, but that's because it's a full length film, "A Close Shave" manages to tell a story full of comedy, drama, and action in only 30 minutes or so, and it succeeds marvellously at what it does.

The pacing is really good, with it not feeling too fast, but it's never that slow. I really enjoy the fact that the film sets up most of it's mysteries & exchanges with a really great pay off for noticing them, mostly when something that was mentioned/happened early, adds into the plot of it, which makes the film feel more entertaining.

The comedy is really funny, there's some wacky slapstick styled comedy, as the porridge machine malfunctioning & covering Wallace in porridge, but there's also some clever line deliveries & even some clever little bits of innuendo, with the "The bounce has gone from his bungee" bit.

I loved how much the film is willing to be comedic & dramatic, especially how it gets a emotional with the scene of Gromit's false imprisonment for sheep rustling & sheep murder being read on the newspaper by Wallace & the sheep, and Gromit breaking down at the puzzle piece in jail.

Preston is easily one of the best villains in the Wallace & Gromit Franchise (next to Feathers McGraw), there's something about him that just feels off, he's really suspicious, and the twist that he's a Cyber-Dog is a really great twist, as it builds more onto why he feels so off.

Wendolene is a good character, while the filmmakers chose not to have her & Wallace be "together" in the end, I still think her character is well written.

Shaun the Sheep is just so lovable, the way he ends up helping Gromit save the day against Preston is quite cool, he's also so lovable & cute here (no wonder he got his own franchise).

The Animation in this one is just, well... Amazing! Although it's just slightly better than "Wrong Trousers" (which also has amazing animation), the wonderful attention to animated detail through out each single frame is just brilliant, the expressions on the characters give them so much life and depth to them.

Overall, A Close Shave is a 100% recommended watch in my eyes, from an amazing story, to great animation, and well written characters. It's the best one in my eyes.

The Loud House is a really overrated show in my opinion, it's awful, but, this movie, it's 1000 times worse. If I where a fan, I would hate this movie, because it's so cheap looking, and it has an awful story. I would rather watch Family Guy Season 12 again, than this movie.

TomSka's best internet cartoon he has ever made (asdfMovie is overrated in my opinion), Crash Zoom, a show about 3 characters, going on wacky adventures and trying to make movies. This show has great animation, and most of the jokes are so funny, the main characters are amazing (Lucy is the best character on the show), and I hope I see more of it soon.

American Dad!: 300 (2020)

A Disappointing Episode
5 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I thought that after the amazing "100 A. D" & "The Two Hundred", that "300" would be a Fantastic 300th episode, but it turned it to be a disappointment.

It feels like they crammed a bunch of stories into 22 minutes, and while this episode does have interesting plots, but they feel rushed, because the episode has so much going on (with Roger being kicked out for ruining the Smith's chance to be on Family Feuds, the golden turd being returned to him, causing him to go into 300 parts, making the world "too perfect", and so the Smiths have to find 300 parts and then they fight over the golden turd in the future and die, and then a tear from Roger causes the golden turd to make him be able to back in time to stop himself from putting it in the place where it was first found back in Season 1), and try fitting it all into 22 minutes, this episode should of been a 2 part episode, like "100 A. D" and "Son of Stan".

Also, some of the jokes are kind of unfunny, with the whole "Roger starting a fire in the first flashback, and a volcano in the last 2 flashbacks on vacation, and everyone runs away, apart from Jeff who just keeps drinking", is just the same gag, repeated 3 times, and it wasn't that funny to start with.

Overall, this episode was disappointing to an American Dad fan, I wish they did something much more climactic and made a Fantastic 2 part episode, to Celebrate 15 Years of the show.
