It's 90% same as Lelam (1997) with some minor changes.

Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya
(2016)
Surprisingly one of the best...!

First thing i regret is not watching this one earlier. The promotion for this film was poor AF. But the movie is best in comedy , fantasy and romance. Prayaga did a great job by bringing "Parvathi" to life and so did Unni Mukundan. Overall it's really good entertainer.
Gandharvam

A real gold from the 90's

This movie rebolves around life of Sam Alex or Alex(Mohanlal) who falls in love with a top class girl Sreedevi Menon(Kanchan). At first she hated Alex for some of his mistakes but later falls for him. The only thing that matters now is Sreedevi's family who hated the matter that Alex was a normal mechanic and was a Christian. Sangeeth sivan's direction is upto mark . Many beautiful songs are in this movie thanks to Venkatesh sir. The playback singing was perfect at all point. Overall it is a heartwarming story with great talents of acting and beautiful evergreen song. I felt bad when i realised that the actress in the movie refused many chances from Malayalam industry as she was focusing on bollywood industry. She was a great pair for Mohanlal and would have been. Even though she was a bollywood actress she was the perfect casting for this role . Their ons creen romance was upto mark.
Laxmii

Why Raghav ??

What the hell was this movie ??
Despite the clichéd storytelling and similar use of stereotypes, Kanchana was not short on humour. It spawned a decade full of horror-comedies in Tamil cinema, a trend that has recently evolved into adult-horror comedies. What worked in its favour was Raghava, the lead character, as someone who was inherently afraid of ghosts. It allowed for many slapstick comedy moments to be added to the screenplay.
Raghava was also the continuation of a character established in a previous film; so, Kanchana was a franchise fully in the making. Laxmii doesn't have that advantage; it also doesn't have a strong supporting cast that whose antics complimented the central protagonist's arc.

An utter entertainer from our beloved Lalettan.
The energetic character of Shivaraman(Mohanlal) never leave us disappointed. I cant even point out any scene which give us a sigh. The supporting actors also where great and well picked by the director. Hats off to you Rafi Meccartin
