Eddie and the Cruisers (1983)
There is a part 2
This movie was awesome. I love John Cafferty music, and this movie made it seem realistic enough that you really felt the characters were really doing the music(although the sax player probably was since he is an actual member of the Beaver Brown Band). For those not in the know, there was an Eddie and the Cruisers 2....Eddie Lives movie also. Though not as good as this one, the music is still pretty damn good and the characters are well liked, though not as much as the first movie, although there are some cameos. Worth a look.
Infinity Chamber (2016)
Long, slow-paced, but good
This was a good movie. It was a bit long, but not to the point that I lost interest. You connected with both man and computer through the movie. Although not an orginal idea, this was unique. The ending was very good. others have said it left it to your interpretation, but I dont think so. It was a good, straight-forward ending.
Reba: The Kids Are Alright (2007)
Family television
I really, really miss this show. It had a fantastic cast and great stories. Steve Howey was the absolute best thing this show had going for it. He was funny, had great personality, and held it together through the funniest lines he had to deliver. To this day, his skills have not been put back to good use. Joanna Garcia was the pretty one on the show. Her dumbness along with Van's made for a great comedy routine. I don't think the producers realized how beautiful she was, because they never used her to their advantage. I'm not talking dressing her up as a tramp, but she would have been beautiful in some gorgeous evening gowns and such. The outfits she wore were very cute and trendy, though. Reba had the name recognition. Although she did a pretty good job acting, I was glad to see they did not have her sing every show. Her singing would have over-shadowed the show because she is such a wonderful singer. Great job. Melissa Peterman did a fantastic comedy job too. She was so over the top ridiculous you couldn't help but laugh. She did one hell of a job at it too. It was really surprising when she lost all that weight, though, but good for her. The rest of the cast were awesome. They did great in supporting roles. I did not really count any of the rest of the cast in my own mind as lead actors, but without them, the show would have sucked. I was really bummed when this show ended. This was such a wonderful family-oriented show that I compared to The Golden Girls. It just fit, and the cast was perfect. We really need more shows like this. I have heard rumors of a possible Reba reunion in the near future(2017)(but I'm not sure if its true or not). I really hope this can happen ONLY if its the original cast. It wouldn't work any other way. Not sure if its for another TV run or just a one time episode, though. I have heard talks about a possible movie too. If it comes back for another TV run, I would rather that than a movie, but if just for a one time reunion show? I'd prefer a movie to that. Good luck to the cast and I hope the reunion happens. Will keep my eyes open for a hint. Thank you all so much for your wonderful contributions and entertainment. P.S. - To all you Reba fans, she did make a music video after the show ended for her song Every Other Weekend which stars Van and Cheyenne. Here is the link for anyone interested. it is kinda sad, though.
Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives! (1989)
Love this movie
First off, you cannot compare this to the first movie. It is shot in a different time period, and from a different aspect from the first movie. This is not the greatest movie you will ever see, but you do need to see the first one to appreciate this one. It is a good movie, the acting from most of the cast is kind of quirky and over the top, but Michael Pare does excellent again. His lip syncing is the absolute best I have ever seen. Had I not known John Cafferty sang these songs, I would swear it was Michael. Well, back to the movie. It is a good movie that tells the story of Eddie's fight to conceal his identity, but making it harder is the fact that his music has once again become popular, and there are tapes he made of music that was never released, as well as music he sang and played with other musicians. he is fighting from revealing to the world he is still alive, since everyone assumes he is dead(see first movie). His love for creating and playing music is as strong as ever, and he eventually begins to play some here and there, till he one night plays at a bar where a sax player actually recognizes him or his music style. he then forms a band and begins to go on and play small venues, until the rest of the band forces him to play at a band competition. From there, the rest is history! It is definitely worth a watch if you have never seen it, but the first movie is better than the second, as is the case with most sequels. You will enjoy this movie if you like music. The soundtrack is phenomenal.
