Charlie's Angels: Attack Angels (1981)
Season 5, Episode 13

You are getting very sleepy...
3 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is a spotlight on Julie. While the premise of the episode is kinda strange. The Angels are hired to look into "accidental" deaths at a tech company. However, their associate company is behind it and is hyponitizing their secretaries to do these nefarious deeds. Julie goes under the mastermind's spell and attacks her fellow angels. In the end, she gets her sweet revenge.

Only a few notes: #1 How is the doctor able to get Julie out of the trance if Mr. Wearden's voice is the only one that works on her? #2 Why does Kris need a mime book? Seriously, why?? #3 Kelly and Kris are in the background in this episode, running around making fools of themselves.

This episode is fascinating, so watch very carefully angels.

(Also, Darleen Carr who played Karl Malden's daughter in the Streets of San Francisco, guest stars.

Welcome to Sherwood!
2 August 2020
This episode is not great, but I still found it enjoyable.

The Angels are hired to find out why a mad archer is going around shooting arrows on a studio lot and stop him. The reason I like this episode is because it is the first time in awhile all three angels work together. Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd really don't get any episode to truly bond with Tanya Roberts. There is literally only one hug between all three angels. The sisterly bond is defitinely missing this season.

However, the episode is average, but with humorous moments. Good luck angels!

My precious!!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is creepy good. Bruce Watson gives a fine performance as a cross dresser.

The Angels are hired to find the psycho who calls women on the phone at the nightclub and kills them because they're pretty. And who is his next victim gonna be? DA DA DONA...That's right it's Kelly.

Jaclyn Smith gives a wonderful performance because when she cries we all cry. The only disappointment is her fashion choices in this one.

Enjoy this one my pretties.

Reverend Bosley
1 August 2020
This episode is a fun sting like episode. David Hedison returns as a guest star and he has plenty to do in this one.

The Angels are hired to out con the con(Hedison). Kris is the con artist and Julie and Kelly are kinda side lined in this one. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this is a very slick episode. And yes, Bosley plays a reverend.

This one's jake, Angels!

Charlie's Angels: Moonshinin' Angels (1981)

Let's Shuck it, Bos.
1 August 2020
Oh my goodness, what to say here. This episode like the other reviewer said is probably meant to be fun, but falls utterly flat.

The angels are hired to protect a moonshiner's business and stop their feud. The angels? The angels are hired to do this?! They are going to hillibilly land to save moonshine. Oh my sweet cheese and crackers!!

Now for the serious review, Julie doesn't do much in this episode. This episode actually reminds me of a, "Wanted: Dead or Alive," episode where Steve McQueen gets involved in a moonshining feud. His episode is much better and that's probably because it fits.

I'd shuck this one angels, though it is surprising that this is chosen as our first episode back from Hawaii. No wonder Kate Jackson left.

And the Beat Goes On
1 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was actually my favorite Hawaiian one for a long time, until I found all the flaws. The Angels are hired yet again to find a kidnapped victim, who is being held for ransom, again. Three kidnapping episodes in Hawaii. If I were the angels I would never go there again, let Steve McGarrett take over. Spoiler time: #1 Gene Barry is kidnapped by girls who he probably could've taken over, but those girls are suppose to be doing there number on stage the same time he is kidnapped. How can they be two places at the same time? #2 The lady lets Julie come into her car willy nilly. A complete and total stranger!! #3 The dialogue in this episode is outrageous, I.e., "Maybe you can catch a kidnapper, the same way you can catch a fish?" "With what Kris?" "Bait." Pardon me while I go laugh til I cry. #4 The dance instructor is too suspicious of Kris and Julie.

If you want a good laugh this is the one, otherwise I'd skip this one angels.

Lifeguard Angels
1 August 2020
This episode is actually the best Hawaiian one of Season 5. The guest stars are fantastic: Dan Haggerty, Edd Byrnes, Richard Anderson, and special appearances of Patrick Wayne. Also, for Charlie's Angels fans Billy from the Season 2 opener guest stars at the very end, however not as Billy.

The Angels are hired by Richard Anderson to find his kidnapped daughter. She was taken on the beach by wild dune buggy dudes, so the angels are set up to be lifeguards. However, the only angel we ever see lifeguarding in the whole episode is Kelly.

This episode is not the greatest, but a definite pickup from the latest Hawaiian ones. Enjoy, Angels!!

The Love Boat Meets Agatha Christie
11 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
And here we are again in Season 5 episode 4. I say Love Boat because a single's tour bus is carrying a terrorist on board and the angels must track the assassin down before he or she attacks.

This episode is hit and miss. And this time I am going to spoil a bit. Why do the police need Julie's help to find a terrorist when they already know what he looks like from his pic? Why does the bad guy break into Julie's hotel room dressed as a burglar and come through the front door? Did he walk down the hallway that way and no one noticed?

The only good moments in this one is the lovely Carol Lynley who is attracted to Bosley, Kelly's fight scene, and the only angel group hug of the season.

Not a bad episode, but not great. If you wanna skip this one go right on.

Far Out Man!!
11 July 2020
This episode is one of the lowest of Season 5 and I thought after old Jane Wyman playing a psychic in the last episode it couldn't get any worse. It did.

Since the angels, I guess, are running the agency in Hawaii or on vacay, I don't know, Julie decides to go scuba diving. She and her guide Bianca go underwater and Julie gets attacked by a hippie. These two hippies are trying to protect the marijuana they stole from their boss, so they can sell the stuff themselves.

This episode is very slow and unfortunately our guest stars don't help carry the episode this time around. Julie's "friend" Bianca is extremely annoying, Antonio Fargas is wasted, and Bradford Dillman rattles off lines that seemed like they came from a comic book strip. The only memorable performance is Sonny Bono playing an outdated hippie. Also, Anne Francis makes an appearance. She must've really needed money to show up in this farce of an episode. Honestly, spare yourself guys!! It's too far out :)

Goodbye Tiffany, Hello Julie!!
11 July 2020
The Season 5 opener of Charlie's Angels is the best episode of Season 5. You have Christopher Lee as a slimy manager of a modeling agency with Dack Rambo as his sidekick. Also, the other guest stars are fantastic with Vic Morrow, Don Stroud, etc.

The Angels are hired to find Jody Mills because her father hasn't heard from her in awhile. However, he arrives in time only to find that she has been strangled in the back of Eddie's (a shady photography shop). While trying to find Jody's killer they meet street tough Julie Rogers(Tanya Roberts) and experience the interesting career of being a model.

This episode is one of the few and I mean few episodes in season 5 worth watching. Tanya Roberts is a great new angel and proves that she is more than just a pretty face.
