American Horror Story: Ave Hestia (2024)
Welcoming Annabelle Dexter-Jones
The decision to dedicate the episode to Adeline seems very right to me, we all needed a break from the way Emma Roberts gobbled up the screen time of all the other characters and focused on the underdeveloped witches, especially since they are very interesting, dark and cruel characters!
Things are finally starting to become clearer, and I'm glad that these witches are completely different from the ones we already know from Coven. I'm not sure if we should pretend we don't know who exactly gave Ivy the character's powers in the first place, but the rest of the episode was truly surprising. We haven't seen this level of violence in AHS for a long time, this episode reminded me of the shock of watching Roanoke.
Using the example of Bett and Dott, we have already seen how one actress plays two characters at once, but Annabelle Dexter-Jones did no worse with the portrayal of the sisters. I really like the actress, and it's such a pleasant shock that she became the main character of an episode from which both Anna and Siobhan were practically thrown out. A very tense, violent and shocking episode, the best of the season so far. Moreover, it is better than all the episodes of the "New York" and the second part of "Double Feature".
American Horror Story: Requiem 1981/1987: Part 2 (2022)
Community Pain
The timing is the most frightening thing in this episode, but the finale paid off. The last scene, lasting as long as ten minutes, is probably one of the most powerful and artistically worked out for the entire series. All this makes sense at the end - and from this there is a desire to review the season anew. The more I notice the details, the more complete and better NYC becomes... It's a shame how superficial and unadapted the viewer turned out to be, however, this is not the first time for this series. The most important and unusual moment for AHS is that none of the main characters died at the hands of another person - absolutely everyone was killed by the disease that big daddy personified (Barbara, Hannah, Theo, Sam, Henry, Patrick and Gino), and this inevitability of a deadly disease is indeed a much greater horror than ghosts, witches and vampires. It is paradoxical how serious and realistic this season remains, despite the fact that there are so many allusions and symbols in it.
Don't let the show die. I want new stories.
American Horror Stories: Milkmaids (2022)
What are you talking about?
One of the best episodes of this series (not a great achievement, but still). There is an adequate plot, idea, and morality... The confrontation of science and pseudo-religion, and after the victory of the second in the framework of the plot of the eighteenth century - this is the real American Horror Story, the merciless truth. The episode pleased with good actors, directing, unusual editing, reminiscent of the first three seasons of original show... "Milkmaids" story could be an idea for a multi-part season of the main project.
Westworld: Generation Loss (2022)
My favorite modern TV series.
This episode is an emotional meat grinder. Simple theories (C - Caleb's daughter) alternate with mind-exploding ones (Caleb's Fate). I love Westworld because the story keeps intertwining like a puzzle. "Generation Loss" leveled the timelines with one single. It was very beautiful, touching and ominous, the second half of the season promises to be amazing!
The 100: Blood Giant (2020)
I really love this show
After this episode, I finally decided - this series is great! Rip Bellamy!
