Totally Killer (2023)
Fantastic 80s Slasher film
This was awesome, so much better than the always predictable Scream movies. If you love Happy Death day, Freaky, Scream and Back to the Future, then this is the movie for you. " Totally Killer" is a gripping and suspenseful movie that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end. With its thrilling twists and turns, it explores the depths of human darkness and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of evil. Two thumbs up. Besides the eighties were the best, best music, best malls, best everything. One of the standout aspects of "Totally Killer" is its commentary on social media and its impact on our lives. The film cleverly weaves in themes of technology addiction, cyberbullying, and the blurring of reality and fantasy, making it a timely and relevant horror movie that will resonate with audiences of all ages.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Overhyped movie
Do not look at the special effects but the message within the movie. Is that what we want our kids to see. Watching this movie is like watching the news Russia invading another country and destroying it all. Oh my, how is that everybody is liking this movie. Me and my family watched in Dolby 3D and it was like watching a big screen Samsung with TrueMotion Plus Smoothing cracked to the max. It was like watching a 3 hrs long game like Resident Evil. JC moves to high frame rate (48 frames per second) to enhance this sequel which progresses from land to sea. People are not looking at the big picture. Ya know the elephant in the room.
Second, this looked more like nature documentary about how we killed the Indians and destroyed their civilization. How Russia invaded another country. There is so much death. So many animals getting killed. Keep in mind first movie is supposedly year 2154 and second around year 2164, so apparently we learned nothing. We destroyed planet Earth and now we seek to destroy Pandora which is a moon in the star system. There are animal attacks, war scenes, major explosions, fire destruction, near-deaths, and lots of deaths, Corpses shown both animal and human, sequences of strong violence, and some strong language. What may be most disturbing to young children is the cruelty to animals and kids. Animals are hunted and killed, children are kidnapped, handcuffed, and tortured. I know is fake-whale. But still.. Is that what we want to display to kids?
Third, some bad guys from first movie comes back in the sequel. Yeah, no originality. They come back as avatars. Of course they are after Jake Sully.
Fourth, all Jake's kids speak English. One would think to teach them the Navi language fluently.
Fifth, upon arriving at the sea which is very very far from the forest, everybody speaks English fluently. Not only that but they know slang words. Swear words and profanity are NUMEROUS throughout Avatar 2. Since Dr. Grace Augustine was not at sea teaching them English, then who did..?? How did they learn perfect English?
Sixth, this movie is supposedly 10 years after the first one, but apparently Jake did not prepare for the second battle. They came back more powerful than ever, so Jake wife and kids abandoned the forest and go to sea to seek refuge and consequently destroy another tribe.
Seventh, people beware, those with photosensitivity and epilepsy, Avatar: The Way of Water is NOT photosensitive friendly and may induce seizures.
So that's my two cents. And just like what JC did in Terminator, the villain here will be back in Avatar 3. He never dies. Who knows, maybe he'll be back in Avatar 4 and Avatar 5. Sorry JC, I've been waiting 13 years for the sequel and was disappointed. Jacques-Yves Cousteau Would be disappointed.. talk about war, destruction, Ukraine.. wow...
Black Adam (2022)
FANTASTIC
Finally a really good movie from DC. This was awesome. One can only imagine the infinite possibilities for future sequels. I was surprised how good the movie started out. It grabbed ahold from the beginning and it didn't let go. The dark side was nice to see because every person with powers isn't a hero. Do not pay attention to the critics, go watch this movie. Good laughs and some great action. Wait until the end of credits there is a fun surprise. It's a fun movie for all ages. This is probably Dwayne Johnson's best performance in a very long time . The action was amazing along with the cgi. Wait till the end...
The Midnight Club (2022)
Extremely Boring
It's like a prank, this is the worst series from Mike. It's soooo boring, no scares, nothing spooky. There's no real depth to the characters. You may wanna jump the screen to murder the cripple girl. Her second film ever! Worst actress I've ever seen. Like community theater acting. Almost to the point of being unwatchable. For a series based on a book that seemingly took another plot ("Are You Afraid of the Dark?") that aired back in 1990 and literally had a group called The Midnight Society where they gathered at midnight and told each other scary stories. No suspense, no horror, no mystery, no thriller, no blood, no nothing, just simply boring.
Dog (2022)
Super Boring..
This movie is for vets only. The rest of us, regular joes, this movie is incredibly boring and painful to watch. I rented to watch with my two boys. By the motel scene we couldn't watch it anymore. If you have doubts, watch it first on cable or Hulu.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Who you gonna call ?
Ghostbusters Afterlife is a spectacular Love letter to the original Ghostbusters 1 and 2 franchise. This movie should be way up there near 100% in certified freshness because its a really well thoughtout trip of a movie which will not only satisfy us OG fans but also paves the way for a legion of new fans, ignore the so called critics this is the Ghostbusters film you have been waiting for since 1989 and a beautiful ending for the beloved character Egon Spencer and the late great Harrold Ramis. A+++ this make a perfect end to a trilogy.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Cannot believe people are liking this!
Carnage is not this all-mighty from another planet..! He's not Ultron nor Thanos nor Steppenwolf nor Darkseid. He's just the product of a "Charlie bit my finger" bit. That's it. Just because Cletus bit Eddie's finger for 5 seconds made him become Carnage and apparently, stronger than Venom himself. Really, Is this for real. It's a very weak sequel.
Till Death (2021)
Worst movie of 2021
It's official, It's either the excessively huge eyebrows from Megan or the the lack of creativity from this inexperienced director makes this the worst movie of 2021. Almost entire movie is about this super skinny Megan Fox dragging a 180lbs husband thru the entire house inside and outside in the snow. Ridiculous.
Coming 2 America (2021)
DECENT SEQUEL BUT WITHOUT THE HEART OF THE ORIGINAL
I could barely get through this. Zero authenticity. The actors have no depth or chemistry. Even their dancing is raunchy and overdone. We wanted a movie, not a bad music video. Take this for example.. General Izzy with his stupid walking! ...there were no royal guards, none whatsoever to protect the palace just Akeem's daughters?!! Then why not just fight General Izzy to begin with? Bopoto acts as sweet and innocent as the future wife for the prince Lavelle but later she's dancing vulgarly in his engagement party, where did her royalness go? Akeem and Lisa have an argument and she goes to sleep alone. But then she wakes up all pretty with makeup and a dress to hear Akeem's apology even though Akeem had traveled from Zamunda Africa to NY Queens to stop his son's marriage and came back like if it was just a few hrs. It's a 13 hours flight ONE-WAY. And the worst of all, Princess Imani is STILL barking like a dog jumping in one feet after even though it has passed over 20 years.. just nonsense from beginning to end. These jokes would work in the 80's (we were pretty stupid back then) but not in these times..
IMDb on the Scene - Interviews: Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Silly childish film.
This movie WW84 compares to Superman 3 & 4 bundled together, since it's a long and boring 2.5 hrs movie with no substance, no storyline, no bad guys to make it worthwhile. If I had gone to see this in theatres, I would have walked out well before it was over. Keep in mind JL is from present time but the very first WW is from World War I, when Diana rescued US pilot Captain Steve Trevor crashing off the Themysciran coast. This second movie is from 1984. And there are no god-like evil in this made-to-tv sorta cartoonish-ness film. Just a "dream stone" that grants wishes. Diana wishes for her deceased lover, Steve Trevor, to return, causing his soul to take over another man's body. And Barbara (an insecure woman who idolizes and envies Diana) wishes to become strong like Diana. A business man Max Lord (the Mandalorian guy) wishes to become the stone to gain its power. In other words he becomes a Genie Who also can take whatever he desires in return. Sort of like the horror movie "The Wishmaster". I think Jenkins (the director) was thinking of Donald Trump as in, what would he do if he came across a powerful stone that grants any wish. And the fact that Patty Jenkins mentioned several times this movie needed to be watched in the big screen is a joke! Compared to big blockbuster films from Bay, Nolan, Spielberg, Jackson, J.J., Lucas and Verbinski, this WW84 looks pretty cartoonishly to me.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
This one is definitely for the Small Screen !!!

Skin Decision: Before and After (2020)
Horrible show, way overproduced
Every episode is about two patients. They start off raw, no makeup, just plain and simple telling their stories. At the end the patients have 10lbs of makeup to cover their surgeries, way overdressed and way overproduced, sometimes the pacing is boring, doctors spend way too much time talking about their own past, it's just a bad imitation of Botched.
