A Romantic Roller-coaster, Hold On!
9 April 2014
Natalie(Garcelle Beauvais)is a grown woman who wants to find lasting and true love. Although she has a satisfying job teaching young children, Natalie dreams of a happy home-life with a faithful, adoring husband. Unfortunately, her present husband, Leon, has other ideas. Natalie's home life is falling apart until handsome(Brian White) shows up and fathers Natalie's dreams of a happy, wholesome romantic life. Will Brain White sweep Natalie into a rose petal world of ideal love? Will Brian's aging, wealthy, hateful wife (Lynn Whitefield) give him a divorce? Within the confines of its romantic genre, "And Then There Was You" offers a surprising array of plot twists and turns. I enjoyed this movie immensely and you will too.

An Enjoyable Cerebral Romantic Comedy
24 June 2013
Derek Scott has it all. He's about to become a partner in his prestigious law firm. He's about to marry his wealthy, elegant and beautiful fiancée, when along comes his ex-girlfriend to crack the mirror image of the perfect life he envisions. Will Derek find happiness living in his million dollar home with his lovely but "bossy", snobbish fiancée? Will he find fulfillment in the gilded world of corporate law? Or does Derek really want a life filled with true love, simplicity, and genuine commitment to bettering his community? Spend a few hours with Derek and joyfully watch his life unfold. Gorgeous Tangi Miller is a sexy delight as the ex-girlfriend. Malik Yoba is charming and winning as the beleaguered attorney. Altogether a most pleasant evening's entertainment.

Just Wright (2010)

This Movie is The Jewel in Queen Latifah's Crown
31 May 2010
Hear ye hear ye, Queen Latifah has hit her stride. Just Wright is a Valentine to Queen Latifah fans. The lady has never looked lovelier, appeared more natural, or been more winning. As Leslie Wright, a physical therapist and basketball fan, Queen Latifah goes from wearing sport jerseys to beautiful gowns and pulls it off with aplomb.

Common, a basketball star with his perfect homeboy accent, is the object of the lady's affection. There to throw dust into Leslie's love life is her best friend (beautiful Paula Patton), a conniving cookie with dollar signs for eyeballs, and her eyes are glued on Queen Latifah's man. Will Common recover from his injuries? Will Queen Latifah go Oops upside Paula's head? Will Latifah get her man? Y'all didn't hear it from me.

This is simply a sweet movie about finding love. I loved the scene of afterglow when Queen Latifah wakes up the night after sleeping with Common and she realizes she finally has a man. This picture should be celebrated. There are no stereotypes, no drugs, no cussin'. Altogether, a delightful evening of entertainment.
