The wonderful Wendy Malick
3 May 2021
One of the finest comic (and otherwise) actresses working. Perfect choice for Sebastian's mother.

Amazing
27 February 2021
It's amazing how much eroticism and violence this show got away with for its time. Excessive gunplay (including the deaths of some series regulars), the slapping around of women, and obvious (if only implied) extramarital sex, this was strong stuff for the 50's.

The supporting casts included some of the best actors and guest stars in the business. Incidentally, the executive producer was Quinn Martin, who incorporated some of the features of the show in his subsequent series: the spoken credits, the announcement "This week's episode . . .", and other features.

Jimmy Palmer's finest hour
22 January 2021
Brian Dietzen shines in this episode. In what is usually considered comic relief, but with a human center, here Jimmy is the hero. Chas. Floyd Johnson, executive producer, said that when they were putting together the flashback sequences from earlier episodes, they were actually surprised by the number of dramatic scenes that Dietzen played. Great episode!

Make allowances . . .
18 January 2021
If this had not been called "Battle of the Bulge", or had been made in the 40's, it wouldn't have gotten the flack it has. Historically inaccurate, full of star power, and special effects that come right out of a late Toho Godzilla movie, it's just like a propaganda film of the war years, but after "The Longest Day", a comparatively accurate film historically, it suffered, especially when Eisenhower denounced it. It's actually enjoyable, if you like war movies.

Go, Bishop!
27 December 2020
I love Bishop! What a great character. NCIS's strength is its character work, and Bishop is a geek like McGee, an eccentric like Abby, and a professional like all of the team, but all in all, an individual

The mystery is not the thing
22 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
While the mystery is engrossing, the characters are colorful, the setting is exotic, and the production is beautiful, the soul of this film is the struggle of Denzel Washington's character to find himself. The pivotal sequence of scenes involves the title song, which traces Quinn's return to his own roots.
