Cry of Fear (2013)
Cry Of Fear
10/8
Despite being developed on the GoldSrc engine, boasts a remarkable atmosphere without the best graphics. Story of the Cry Of Fear, while simple on the surface, carries a deep, thought-provoking message with a depressive undertone. The soundtrack is outstanding, perfectly complementing the game's mood. The characters are eerie and imaginative. Although the gameplay may not be innovative or unique, it doesn't feel out of place. Cry of Fear offered free so fans of the genre should definitely play. Overall, Cry of Fear perfect about creating a gripping experience, thanks to atmospheric elements, storytelling, and music.
Watch Dogs (2014)
Watch Dogs
8/10
The game's hacking mechanics are its strongest suit, providing a unique and enjoyable gameplay experience. Manipulating the environment using hacking adds a layer of depth and strategy that keeps the game engaging.
Watch Dogs is pleasing, with sufficient environmental details and damage effects.
While the satisfaction of eliminating the antagonists might be lacking.
The game's ending, with its two choices was enough for me.
The music in Watch Dogs is truly outstanding and adds a lot to the overall atmosphere of the game. The soundtrack features a mix of electronic and ambient tracks that perfectly complement the futuristic setting of the game. Whether cruising through the city streets or engaging in intense firefights, the music always seems to set the right tone, enhancing the overall experience.
Clara's death was a heartbreaking moment in the game, adding a layer of emotional depth to the story and highlighting the consequences of Aiden's actions.
However, Watch Dogs has its drawbacks. One of the main issues is the lack of depth in character development. While I quickly found myself immersed in the game, the other characters felt somewhat shallow.
While playing Watch Dogs, I encountered a few bugs that detracted from the overall experience. These included minor graphical glitches. While these issues didn't occur frequently, they were noticeable enough to be a bit distracting at times.
I also experienced one instance where I had to revert to the last checkpoint during a mission, which resulted in a minor setback of a few minutes.
Another downside is the repetitive nature of some activities. While the hacking mechanics add variety, some missions can feel like a insufficient, which can detract from the overall experience.
In conclusion, Watch Dogs is a well-rounded game with a decent storyline and engaging gameplay elements. While it may not offer groundbreaking innovations, its attention to detail and sweet world make it a worthwhile experience for me.
