Varshangalkku Shesham (2024)
Bad movie, overrated, boring
All the hype around this movie is because of all the marketing done by the cast. They've literally included every type of cast member just to grow the reach. The songs are forgettable, jokes are not funny, story is zero. It was boring, almost like Vineeth (director) wanted to make a movie about a movie. I'm sure everybody will watch this movie for atleast to hear Nivin Pauly's nepo dialog. The only 5 minute entertainment in the movie was Nivin's dialog about body shaming and nepotism in the film industry. Mohanlal's son Pranav is so bad in dialog delivery, and Dhyan sreenivasan trying to desperate to be interesting but failed Infront of my eyes. I'm a movie lover, keralite and a big fan of Malayalam movies. This MOVIE can be skipped, nothing interesting for people with a brain. So DISAPPOINTING!
Amar Singh Chamkila (2024)
Bollywood movie at its finest ! Touches your heart.
A movie based on true story of Amar Singh (chamkeela). Imtiaz Ali directed it excellently keeping the story telling so pure and interesting at the same time. There is a scene between Chamkila and his father, right after he gets the offer to sing. It is directed with so much vigor and emotion, I felt touched by it. A nobody's struggle to feed him and his family, in the outskirts of Punjab! The man who stole the show is definitely our own Diljit Dosanjh. He acted his heart out, every scene. Parineeti acted hand in hand with him. One of her finest roles ever. I'm a South Indian and I have never heard of this story. A must watch for Indians!
Kaibutsu (2023)
This is what Cinema is all about! Brilliant filmmaking, awesome!
I am speechless after watching this beautiful movie, it redefines 'Childhood' in the modern era. Direction and screenplay was on point, and I was immersed in the whole 2 hours of the movie. It's been quite a while a movie has inspired me so much. The casting was amazing, the kid actors were on top of their game. I could watch this movie again, because it takes me back to my childhood, and my relationship with my mother. It highlights the gender nuances which can be challenging and confusing to a child at the same time. This movie reminded me of 'A beautiful life' & 'Stand By Me'. Highly recommended!
American Fiction (2023)
Superb performance & engaging story line
The movie captivates you from start to finish, with its witty humor & captivating story line. Jeffrey Wright was spectacular as Monk, who publishes a book to please a certain 'market'. His chemistry with Sterling K Brown was a surprise in the movie. Sterling as monk's gay brother was perfect in every shot, and I secretly wished he had more screen time because it was so much fun to watch him play that role effortlessly. I would highly recommend this movie as it has a fresh story, and an interesting screenplay. The awards should've recognized the brilliant performance of its cast members. It's been a while I've been entertained by a movie until I discovered 'American Fiction'.
The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth (2024)
This is what a crime/thriller documentary should be! People, take a bow!
I have never heard about this case, so it was refreshing to hear about it. The direction was amazing, especially the transition and story flow from first to fourth episode. This is a must watch documentary for anybody who loves thriller and crime story telling. I binge watched this in four hours, and not even a dull moment. All the characters who were interviewed keeps you on the edge till end of the documentary. Netflix outdone themselves with this piece, and I'm glad real documentary is back in action. Interpretations are part of documentaries and this show definitely makes it a goal to keep plenty of them on hand.
Rekha (2023)
Average movie, average story, above average acting
Rekha is a total waste of time, because there is no story to start with. The main character Rekha was portrayed well by the main lead, however, the film fails in keeping up with the story line. I felt like this movie was created just to showcase the main lead's stunt skills. Kasaragod slang was a surprise but not a boost for the movie.
Majority of the scenes in the movie focused on building up a big mystery but it came out too predictable. Obscene amounts of cursing made it look like the director is trying too hard to get into the 'new trend' genre. In a nut shell, this move can definitely be skipped because there is nothing new if you already watched 22 f kottayam.
Monster (2022)
Evan Peters Hats off to your performance
A mini tv series well executed and directed with a power packed cast. Evan Peters as Jeffrey Doehmer kicks ass. He portrayed the monster very well! The 10 episode series is well engaging with true characters, the victims of his heinous crimes. Every episode has its own life to it, be it sadness, thriller or grossness. Even though we are all well familiar with the gruesome Jeffrey Doehmer and his story, the tv series did justice to its every details. At the end of the day, you feel for the poor victims and the people who came across this monster. Again, Evan Peters deserve an Emmy ! Hats off to you!
Laal Singh Chaddha (2022)
Please do watch
I know it's a remake of forest gump, but this movie did justice to the original script and screenplay. Aamir khan deserves a big nod for this remake, and his perception to Indian politics and historical landmarks. I would recommend everyone to watch this movie atleast once in their lifetime and appreciate Indian cinema and how it's growing.
Pathaam Valavu (2022)
What a joke
Predictable story line. Not worth a watch! A movie made zero storyline and zero though put into it. I watched this movie for Suraj but very disappointed. This movie was more like a South Indian soap opera with religious background music. Not even good compared to Joseph!
Dublin Murders (2019)
Awesome show for crime thriller fans
Well directed. Great cast. Mind blowing story line.
DO NOT READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!
MUST WATCH!
