Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar (2024)
LOOSELY Inspired by BURARI DEATHS
This is a fictitious version of the real event that happened in Delhi, popularly known as the Burari Deaths.
Unfortunately, apart from its adaptation of this real event, there was nothing good on the table.
Its slow pace makes it boring and lengthy. The show consists of 8 episodes, each with a runtime of 30 to 45 minutes.
The mystery seemed like a never-ending case, making it a patience-breaking show.
As a viewer, we can only wait to see the real culprit in the last episode, which was a very long and boring journey.
The show ends with an unexpected reveal, presumably setting up a second season, but I believe they failed to make us anticipate it.
Manav Vij's performance is good, but his character was confusing and unpredictable. I wish we could see more of his character development so that we could at least have a guess about his state of mind.
Apart from its connection with the real event, this show doesn't offer me anything. Literally, anything.
Maidaan (2024)
Greatly Executed
It has been 64 years since the Indian Football Team won the Gold medal at the Asian Games. Since 1962, we have been waiting for the moment when India would get this opportunity once again.
The movie 'Maidaan' is based on the life of the Indian National Football team coach Syed Abdul Rahim and 11 players. It is a very inspirational story about how they achieved the Gold medal at the Asian Games for India.
Ajay Devgn has played the character of Rahim Saab, and the movie is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, who made the movie 'Badhaai Ho.' This time, he has taken a completely different theme, and I must say, what a film he has made.
The movie is 3 hours long, but honestly, not for a minute did I feel that the movie was boring.
There has been very good research on football in the movie, and hence the football match scenes look very perfect and real.
The story of the movie is very gripping, so you will stay hooked until the end.
It wouldn't be wrong to call this the best football Indian cinema movie to date.
Siya (2022)
A masterpiece showcased the sad reality of rap victims in India
This is a movie that requires courage to go through with. Movie doesn't claimed to be based on real events but I believe somehow it is based on the crimes happened in Unnao and Hathras.
The pace of the movie is very static and gives it a slow burn theme where you would require patience to watch this movie. The setting is very natural, dark and raw that gives this movie a pureness.
Eye opening movie that shows the inhuman behaviour of people in power. Movie successfully delivered the pain and anguish directly to us that the victim could have experienced.
The performance of all the characters is superb. They undoubtedly convince us to believe that it's a pure drama to watch.
People should praise this movie!
