The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947)
Wonderful, classic movie!!!
I love this movie. I bought it as I love to rewatch it. The music is powerful but many times far too strong for the scene it is attached to. The chemistry between the characters is palpable. George Sanders is excellent as a slimy, suave charmer. At the end, I would have liked to have heard happier music instead of the gloom and doom that plays as they go into the mist, but all-in-all, excellent!
Pride and Prejudice (1995)
Really loved it! Did anyone else notice the gaffe?
This mini series is excellent! They had to leave a lot out due to time constraints, but the acting is first class. Did anyone else notice towards the end as Elizabeth walks under the wedding bough that a clump of greenery falls into her bodice and stays there until she gets into the coach?
A Christmas Proposal (2021)
Great movie, good chemistry between the actors, really enjoyed it!
I used my Amazon credits to buy this movie, I have never done that. This is a cute "Harlequin" type romance. The actors are great to watch, there is chemistry between the two main characters and I LOVE Brooklyn. Definitely a clean, lovely little movie that makes you feel good.
Our House (2006)
Beautiful! Absolutely moving!
This movie was so amazing on so many levels, the chemistry, the story, the love, the message. I have not enjoyed a movie in a very long time as much as this one. Unfortunately, there was no splashy advertising for it, everyone should see this. Doris Roberts just shines!
Dave (1993)
Kevin Kline is wonderful!
This movie is a definite feel-good movie where the good guy actually gets to do some good and make changes. I truly enjoyed it. I have to say, the last hour is my favorite. Kevin and Sigourney have good chemistry. It's a rather odd premise for the romantic spin, but they make you root for them. Definitely a good way to spend a couple of hours.
Fireproof (2008)
A wonderful message
This movie is difficult to watch at times. The majority of the performances are very strong. I don't always agree with Kirk Cameron personally, but his performance of an arrogant and at times cruel, husband is spot-on and his transformation is totally believable. I highly recommend this movie to those who truly want to have a faith-filled walk with their spouse.
Courageous (2011)
Incredible Film, at times very hard to watch...
I loved this movie. It was very hard to watch at times, but worth it. This movie was incredibly powerful, the message was true-to-life. I think sometimes that God can be spoon-fed to non-believers as a genie who grants wishes. God doesn't say we will not go through trauma, but He does say He will be with us when we do and this movie spreads that message.
A Christmas Princess (2019)
Love Erin Gray, in this she is hard to watch
Yes, the Heroine is too rude, the Prince is a dream, def. What was hardest for me to watch was Erin Gray. I always thought she was lovely in Silver Spoons and Buck Rogers. But, it was painful to watch her attempt a British (?) accent. It looked painful for her, too. It wasn't just bad, it was awful, did they not have a dialect coach? I love silly Christmas Romance Movies, but this one barely kept my interest. I really wanted to like it more than I actually liked it.
Christmas Angel (2009)
Everything You Want in a Christmas Movie
Charming, angst, rocky romance start, sweet, kind old man. Everything is in this movie. Everything I look for at least. No horrible female protagonist, just sweetness, a tad of acidity and a wonderful, warm theme. Perfect for a Christmas movie, with a theme that should be carried throughout the year.
Borrowed Hearts (1997)
I could not take the way they portrayed the little girl's attitude
I love Roma Downey, I picked this movie because she was in it. I found I could not get through the whole thing and skipped to the end after about 40 minutes. I guess I am the only one who found that incredibly cute little girl actress utterly annoying. She was a spoiled brat, didn't listen to her mother and her antics were smart aleck rather than cute. If they had toned her down just a bit and had her listen to her mother once without the constant attitude, I would have really enjoyed this movie.
The Borrowed Christmas (2014)
I really wanted to like this movie
I loved the premise of this movie, and I can stay with pretty much any movie even if the actors are a bit off, but I found this uncomfortable to watch. I see many reviewers compare it to a high school play and that is what it seemed like. The acting was very disjointed, cues looked to be missed and it seemed that they were a bit uncomfortable as well.
