A Christmas Carol (2019)
Really hard to watch
If you like Independent films made on a tiny budget, you might appreciate it. However, if you are a fan of the story A Christmas Carol, you're going to be very disappointed and probably wont make it past the first scene. The story is altered a bit, the acting is bad and the whole film is extreme close ups to cut out background and props they could not afford. The animation they used for some scenes is better than anything else in the film. I hate being so negative but this is just bad film that looks like it was made by teenagers over a few weekends. Im shocked it even made it to Amazon Prime.
Helltown (2017)
I regret watching this
This showed up in my hulu recommendations on a chilly Sunday morning and it looked interesting. I watched more than half before I stopped it to do some research on Boston, OH. I learned that this film is mostly fictional. Very little of what is depicted in this film is factual and everyone "interviewed" is an actor. If you go into it knowing that, maybe you will enjoy for what it is. But i felt that both the film and Travel Channel pass it off as a legit documentary, making it a total waste of time in my opinion. I regret watching this.
