Criminal Minds: Mosley Lane (2010)
terrifyingly good.
I couldn't stop watching even for a second. MGG's direction was fantastic. Free flowing and beautiful to watch. The music, setting and the UnSubs were so haunting. One of the best CM episodes till date.
Criminal Minds: The Big Wheel (2009)
very moving episode.
So cinematic, so perfect. the child actor was a phenomenal in his role. Vincent, too, did a wonderful job of bringing out his character's sad background story.
Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets (2021)
adorable :')
This film was like a breath of fresh air. the premise was simple and the characters were beautiful. no one was made out to be the villain. easily one of the most memorable movies I've watched to date. now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go place an order for Walt Whitman's works :-)
Criminal Minds: Penelope (2007)
JDBEHN
THIS EPISODE BROUGHT OUT THE SCREECHING FANGIRL IN ME :))))) Everything was perfect about this ep. Love, love, love! and yes, David Bowie is indeed god XD
Criminal Minds: Seven Seconds (2007)
one of the best eps to date
This is criminal minds at its finest. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, trying to predict what would happen next - and I was still, not expecting the ending.
The Old Guard (2020)
such a fun watch! <3
LOVED the cast. Everyone was so perfect in their roles, and they were all very talented as well. I love me a good dramatic supernatural story line, even if it does get a bit tacky at times, and so I loved this movie! Nicky and Joe were so cute together and Andy was super hot lol bye :') The ending was veeery mouth-dropping, too. (even though it was kinda predictable.)
Thappad (2020)
Really thought provoking.
Why?? does?? this?? only?? have?? 7/10???
such a simple plot that was wonderfully executed. cinematography was awesome, cast was amazing and the character development was so good, too. the pace did get a little slow at times (which is why I suppose some people have given it lesser stars) but it's all part of the charm! it all builds up so slowly - the whole thing just creeps on you and before you realize it, things are happening and - wow. highly recommended.
Love, Simon (2018)
so, so, so important for all young queer people to watch.
What I absolutely loved about this movie was that they focused more on Simon's struggle with his identity rather than the romantic aspect, I mean, that too was there, but it was all a very perfect balance of those two elements. In other words, a fantastic movie that did a wonderful job at carrying out its intended message of hope. I've read the book, too, and I liked how they mostly stuck to the book but changed it up just a bit to keep the viewers engaged :)
Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019)
I'm in pain. Help.
Honestly, one of the most heart wrenching and beautiful movies I've ever watched. The plot is simple, the cinematography is absolutely stunning and the cast is so gorgeous and talented. Gay movies usually have heartbreaking endings that leave you in misery for days, but this one, even though it has a sad ending, it left me feeling nice and a melancholic sort of happy. One of my most favorite movies of all time <3
The Babysitter (2017)
One of my comfort movies!
Came here to review this when I found out the sequel has been released! I've watched this movie three times. And, I'm the sort of person who usually leaves a film halfway if I get the slightest feeling it's getting boring. So, believe me when I say, this is is a great movie <33 It's super funny and the pace is perfect. The cast did great at their job and the outfits were really cool. Satisfying ending, too. All in all, reallyyyy nice movie. Contains swear words, though, so don't watch it w your family if they're sensitive to that stuff.
Laxmii (2020)
Only giving it a one star because I have to.
Absolutely horrible. Not a single good thing has come out of this garbage piece of media. I couldn't even get past the first half of the movie. And of course, there's the social issue element. Why did the movie makers think it was OKAY to make a movie about an issue that's already so sensitive in India? The ghost of a vengeful transwoman????? What????? Why???????
Just like LGBT members were ridiculed and mocked by getting called 'Dostana' when Dostana came out, this movie is doing the same. I won't be surprised if Laxmi Bomb starts getting used as a homophobic slur.
Gosh, such a waste. I actually liked Kiara Advani prior to this.
The Witcher (2019)
SO.GOOD.UGH.
I'm a huge fan of the fantasy genre and this show delivered SO WELL. First off, the cast is so perfect, in all ways possible. Such awesome acting and expressions and the way they're so into their characters - ughhh. (Special shoutout to Henry Cavill's extra super deep voice <3) The only reason why I'm giving it 9 out of 10 is because the dialogue was lacking in a few places - it could've been better. A lot of people were complaining about the confusing timeline as well but I managed just fine, I actually felt that the way the three timelines merged into the present was really cool :)
Chhalaang (2020)
good movie for family time :)
Just a cute, feel good movie that's perfect to watch w/ your parents or other family members. Kind of felt like it dragged in a few places but the excellent acting by the cast made up for it. Although, I do feel like the character development was a bit poor but all wrapped up - it's a nice movie. There's definitely better media you can spend your time on, though.
