Everybody Loves Raymond: Sister-In-Law (2005)
Season 9, Episode 13
10/10
Deb is good. Funny episode
21 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So in this episode Ray has to sit through an hour and 11 minutes listening to Amy blabbing on about trivial stuff that no one else would really be interested in hearing.

And she IS portrayed in this episode as being almost obnoxiously talkative. So it seems Ray has a point when he says Amy is a Lady Blabbermouth. She does talk more than she should. Especially when she wasn't invited over and then she interrupts a basketball game that Ray was looking forward to watching himself with no one interrupting the game. Except Robert but that's different.

So it's actually not Rays fault becuz he didn't want Amy there in the first place. I guess its not cool to tell someone to their face they are annoying but Ray didn't. It's really Roberts fault. Robert told Amy what Ray said and he could've kept quiet.

And Deb wasn't even involved. Why would anyone get angry with Deb when all she was doing is telling Ray what a jerk he was being.

I love Deb and ALL the characters. Its a great series.

Only watch if you want to laugh
13 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
LOVE , love, love this episode! Ray is determined to win the sweet beach chair and beat Peggy. Ok , then he finds out Peggy went to his parents house and sold them a bunch of Frontier girls cookies. Uh, oh, she shouldn't have done that. This really set Raymond off. And he gave Peggy a new nickname, Peggy Hitler.

Lololol. And Robert thinks that is her real name , which may not sound funny but his deadpan serious delivery always gets me cracking up.

So anyway, the fight between Ray and Peggy Hitler over the best spot to sell cookies is the classic fight between good and evil. And of course goodness wins.

It's definitely worth watching and recording for whenever you need a lift!

Monkeys
21 March 2023
This is the best tv show ever. Its twenty years old and still hits the mark. All the characters are funny, likeable, and believable. Unlike so many newer sitcoms where the characters seem so phony. Or even worse, a character added to the show just to be a object that can be belittled or used it to make some current affairs point. Which nobody cares about or really wants to see. Theres never a push it in your face social justice moment, its just a funny, funny show.

But what I really came here to say is, I noticed in many episodes, there is a mention of monkeys, usually by Ray or Robert. One of the writers must really like monkeys. Lol.

Annoying screaming host!
21 March 2023
This show can be summed up with one word , BORING!

And, the host is so annoying that I had to turn it off after five minutes. I believe her name is Brooke Burns but I really don't know because I couldn't watch it. She screams every thing that she says and her movements are also very annoying. I wish they would get a new host for this show. An example of a great host of a game show is Leah Remini who hosts people puzzler also on game show network. I love Leah because she acts normal and even sometimes has a saucy sarcastic attitude that I can find endearing. Now if they replaced Brooke Burns with Leah Remini then maybe I could watch this disaster of a show.

Leah is Awesome
21 March 2023
People puzzler is my new favorite game show. And the reason for that is Leah Remini! I absolutely Love her! Ok so I admit to having a girl-crush on her ever since I saw her on King of queens the first time. Words I would use to describe Leah are saucy, sarcastic, funny, hilarious, and awesome. She just has this Lo-key, cool type of attitude and I can relate to it so much.

I am so glad she is on the show where she can just be herself and not have to act a part. I didn't really like her and Kevin can wait or whatever that show was called.. but she is just like her character from king of queens, Carrie. And she kind of low key insults the players, but only when they really deserve it. So be sure to give this show a chance. You won't be disappointed!

Ok
20 February 2023
Disgraced journalist Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), investigating an incident of "cattle mutilation" in a small Massachusetts town, discovers another bigger story, when a deaf teenage girl sees the Virgin Mary in the trunk of the scariest-looking tree on the planet. Shaking with religious ecstasy, she performs a couple of miracle cures, and when word gets outhanks to Fenn, her small town turns into a modern-day Lourdes. But is the Virgin Mary who she says she is? Based on James Herbert's 1983 novel.

It doesnt ever get interesting.

Why are Catholics always fair game for ridicule? Im serious. Why is this even ok?

So if it is ok, can someone please make a similar movie about the religion Islam? That would be good, right.

Warning: Spoilers
OMG I really love this episode, its awesome. So the premise is Frank decides to paint Ray's house without telling him. He thinks that since he has to look at it he should be able to paint it. So then Robert and Ray are recruited to be Frank's helpers. So of course it is like the Keystone cops, only painting a house. If you have ever painted a house you know that getting along always with coworkers is going to be difficult. So since Frank is the boss he of course bosses everyone around. And of course Frank being frank is not always the most pleasant of bosses. But he does it out of love. And Frank is so funny when he is giving orders to Robert and Ray. You have to have a good sense of humor to appreciate the humor in this show. It is written a acted very well.

Best best best!
10 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I would say that out of 210 episodes of everybody loves Raymond this one should be rated right at the top of the very best. Raymond Frank and Robert have created a ruse in order to make Amy think that he is too much of an idiot to have any responsibility in planning their their wedding. Well unfortunately the invitation printer lady messed up and mailed out the invitations as-is. She was supposed to give Amy a copy of it first in order to get her final approval but she did not.

Amy Had to try to fix the mistake that the men made, while the men had to do you all the house cleaning chores in atonement for their devious scheme.

Do not miss this episode!

Best ever
2 November 2022
Seriously this is the best episode of everybody loves Raymond, at least I think it is the best ever. The story line is so clever and well written. This one is definitely one of my and my families favorite. The canister is like another character in this imaginative episode.

The acting also is perfect. The actors really have studied the script and bring this excellent episode to life. I can see why the Ratings are so good for this show and especially this episode.

Too bad it is an Easter show because it doesn't seem like it is in the regular rotation of all the other episodes and I would like to see it more often.

Great episode
1 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
When Debra almost chokes on a piece of orange Ray acts like he cant be bothered to help her. And then it dawns on Debra that he wouldn't be good in an emergency. Then he tries to make up for it by helping Debra around the house and getting a splinter out . She doesn't want his help with the splinter and pulls her hand away. They kind of wrestle around on the floor while he tries to get her hand. Its totally funny. Its kind of physical humor. Some people nowadays cant handle physical humor. Or any humor. Its very funny, i guess the three stooges would never be on in their house.this is not bad at all. Besides this is a sitcom for adults. No big deal .

Rays best episode
29 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Marie drives the car through Ray and Deborahs wall. Probably one of the best episodes of the entire series. At least in my opinion. Of course hilarity ensues!

Frank and Marie are comedy gold. Of couse Frank doesn't want to pay for the repairs and theres a heated discussion about that.

Once that is settled, the repairs completed, but Ray is not satisfied with the end result. It seems the contractors have used a slightly different wallpaper on the walls. It's barely even noticeable. You would think Debra would be the one to raise a stink about it but its Ray who is unsatisfied and lets his parents know about it. That is when Ray Ramanos acting performance really shines for maybe the first time. Best episode yet.

New friends
28 October 2022
Fun episode. Debra talks Frank and Marie into making new friends after Marie says they have no friends. There are some good jokes. However, Frank does have friends. In one episode earlier this season Frank bets on sports with his buddies using inside tips from Ray. Also, in season one, Frank takes Ray to the lodge to play poker with his buddies, Stan, Garvin, etc. And Marie is freinds with Lee, Stans wife. Although Lee hasnt been in an episode yet.

Still, a great episode involving new characters. The end has a very entertaining , but short clip of Frank and Marie, the new friends, and Ray at a senior dance.

2 August 2022
Very funny episode. You can tell the writers are trying to establish the characteristics of the actors so we are finding out that Ray is actually a very good guy who tries to do the right thing. Bernie is kind of a jerk in this one but not Ray. I give it a 10!

Sooooo funny!
12 July 2022
This episode really displays the superb acting abilities of Patricia Heaton. She was great in this one. To be able to swing back and forth between a gentle, loving wife and a moody, cranky witch the way she does just amazes me everytime I see this episode.

Its kind of a nice change from her usual wisecracking demeaner, but Its more fun to see her as her normal self. Shes usually so smart and witty. I really like how they all get along by joking around with each other. It reminds me of my family, and we get along great and always have the best times whenever we're together.

Whats not to love?
13 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I found this episode to be one of the best episodes of the series of Everybody loves Raymond. Debra and Raymond are discussing an old breakup tape that Raymond had saved from his college days from a girlfriend. Debra thinks it's strange that he kept it. She kept gifts from her exes but not breakup tapes. So ray wants to know where all these gifts are and then replaces them all with new better things. The best parts are the picture frame and the peppermill which is bigger than the old one. I also had an answeing machine to myself in college so yes it could happen. And the year was approx the same as when Raymond would have been in college. I also think Debra acted very rationally as she usually does. So this was a great episode for me!

Its Not a documentary.
27 March 2022
Excellent Western !!! Are there a few technical or plot errors? Maybe. But It's supposed to to be an entertaining TV show, NOT a documentary. And it is definitely entertaining and, one of the BEST shows on TV! Some viewers might Need to Get Over some of the inaccuracies. (By the way, there are many many shows and movies that are not realistic and I guarentee the same guys watch them, thinking Star Trek and any Marvel movie. It's hilarious that the same guys think THIS is unrealistic).

This is the best western to come along in 50 years. Im just grateful to have something to watch that is Not another Woke "comedy" or drama , or about millennials.

Hopefully this will start a trend of great Westerns again . And its worth every penny for the excellent acting and beautiful scenery.

Why nit-pick on every little detail. Just ENJOY the show. Ya know, its no fun to watch tv with a whiner so I feel sorry for your poor family if they are trying to enjoy it. Sheesh.

I would give more than 10 stars if I could.

More please!

Beyond expectations
13 February 2022
So there is not a shoot-out in every episode. If you thought there would be, then you probably will be disappointed. Maybe the mind-numbing idiocy of a superhero movie would be more for you. But this show actually has some very good, intelligent writing and acting in it. Wouldnt be surprised if there wasn't a few emmy winning performances and they would be well deserved. This is based more on reality than fantasy which obviously some people are just not able to comprehend. I am glad there is finally something worth watching for the rest of us.

Warning: Spoilers
I love this one! Im about the same age as the characters Ray and Robert. The flashback brought me back to my high school days. The party , music, clothes were spot-on. It reminded me of the type of party I always went to in the 70's. I wish it was on more often!

Once again I was laughing my behind off during Everbody Loves Raymond! Ok, this is my favorite tv show and this episode is right up at the top of the list for the series. I think its funny when Frank calls his sons names to make a point. This is supposed to be a comedy not a drama. Its not supposed to teach anyone a lesson. It's supposed to make you laugh and entertain you. Its hilarious! People need to learn to laugh again. Its lighthearted fun. Its so obviously funny !!!

Warning: Spoilers
Very interesting episode that seems to set up future events which is ok with me. Probably could have been funnier but I think they had to fit in so many details for next seasons stories, and its not all funny material. Of course Meemaw is always good for a few laughs.

Oh and I liked how Missy ripped up Sheldons picture of Professor Proton. Remember when Sinead Oconnor ripped up the pic of the Pope on SNL? Good tie-in right there since her song was used. Loved it.

I love Everybody loves Raymond. I started watching the reruns abt 2 years ago when I couldn't find anything to watch that was worth watching. There are so many cable channels and Internet channels now but the problem is everybody is trying to "out-woke" each other. I just want good clean entertainment, not a lecture about the environment or some other cause. There was never any of that. Awesome!
