I would give it 10 out of 10 but I can't because apparently some of the marketing made it look like an action movie.

It isn't and I can see why people tried to watch this expecting lots of fighting and instead got slow scenes and character development.

But if you watch this movie without the expectation of a kung-fu/action flick, then it's pretty good.

It's about how a woman comes to terms with her past and her father, and it's about how martial ethics can change a person.

Good concept. But weird execution.

Asylum films suck, I get it. But it's not like you need high budgets to make something memorable, or even with deeper social commentary.

Thing is the villian could still be terrible, scary, psychotic and have the plot of blowing up the house.

But the brunt of it could be the banks screwing someone over than a family. It was the bank that took his house. The family just moved in. He could harass them, but the brunt of it could be him going after the institution which makes it more nuanced, especially for an asylum movie.

But they didn't do that. THey just had him bother the famly and be crazy. Nothing more.

Supernatural: Hammer of the Gods (2010)

Good episode, but strange explanation.

Many people are offended at how Kali and Ganesh were portrayed. Probably have a good reason for that. I would be bothered too, but if you watched this episode after season 15 ended, then you know that Christianity is also ultimately portrayed in an inaccurate and negative way.

What actually happens in the episode is interesting for world building, albeit lazy with the research on mythological figures.
