Atlas (2024)
A just ok AI / Space / Robot action flick
As others have said this is ok for what it is, a casual action flick. But it's not great. The plot will seem familiar in so many ways because it is, it is a rewrite of several other films. A familiar story by now, about an AI that decides to save humanity from itself by attempting to exterminate most of humanity, and the one single human apparently necessary to stop it.
The acting is ... ok. The effects are fine. The plot is derivative. Wouldn't have spent money on it but if you're just looking for something to watch and not think much about, this does the job. Wish it could have been a better movie.
The Swan Princess (1994)
Hard to express why it's terrible
Not sure why the other reviews are so generous. This movie is just bad. Straight to video would have been too generous.
The characters are immediately forgettable, and there are too many of them to build any backstory.
The soundtrack and songs are just bad. The movie would be better without them.
Prepare yourself to never care about the main characters struggle or love story. The only character with enough backstory and character complexity to even bond with is the villain.
The plot is full of holes. The consequences of the "curse" change several times during the movie.
The best part of this move is that it ends at some point. Blows my mind that there were sequels.
The Heart of Christmas (2011)
Not a Christmas Movie, more of an Infomercial
I created an account purely to submit a review because I am beyond shocked that this has any positive ratings.
1. It is most definitely an infomercial for St Judes. Nothing wrong with that hospital but this is a very long infomercial for them. Not a movie.
2. It is not about Christmas and barely addresses Christmas or any plot outside of the Infomercial. What little there is is very minimal and strung together
3. Candace Cameron Bure shouldn't be listed so highly in the list of actors in this movie. She's barely in it.
