NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Evil Eye (2023)
Wrong Portsmouth
The opening aerial view is Portsmouth navy museum UK, not Virginia! You can see the Victory and the Mary Rose plus a British-style aircraft carrier (I think one that got scrapped a view years ago)
Lazy work.
These days they are just sleepwalking through, no doubt unwilling to kiss goodbye to a money-spinner.
A big pity as this was one of my favourite shows back in the day. Perhaps the creative talent moved off to the streamers?
I agree with other posters, but frankly have got to the stage where I'm just typing to get to the minimum 600 word count - not so unlike an NCIS script writer? LOL.
Mr. Reeder in Room 13 (1938)
Appalling !
Having been reminded via Talking Picture TV of the excellent "The Mind of Mr JG Reeder", they dug this one up for us to compare!
The actor who played Mr Reeder has little screen time so it looks like they used the name to sell the film.
Wooden acting! "... er ..." while the actor recalls his lines is understandable in early live TV, but never in film. Most of the participants are of this low standard.
Interesting only to see how bad British cinema used to be in the Thirties
Love Sarah (2020)
Where is the bread?
I agree with all the above criticisms but add three more;
Sarah dies and presumably has a funeral. So why have her daughter and mother then not seen each other for 'ages'? (also mother and Sarah's best friend).
What bakery makes no bread? One of the selling points is the fresh bread smell not to mention the turnover. And you don't need to be up at 4am to make a few cakes.
How does this business hope to make a living without either lots of tables and chairs ('covers') or a proper counter? Perhaps the gods who live in Notting Hill live in another world from this Bournemouth accountant?
