Watcheable
19 May 2023
This would be much more bearable if they got rid of Felicity and Tane who are constantly pawing each other. It's nauseating. I thought she'd leave and stay away when she broke off the engagement but unfortunately Tane lured her back. Has he no sympathy for us. They could at least have sent her to rehab for a while, along long while, and give us all a break. Same with Cash and Remi. They're meant to be adults, not lovesick teens. It ruins the show. Felicity is the worse character ever, the actress can't act, everything is over the top including the ridiculous faces she makes. It went downhill when that stupid band rolled in to town. They are among my least liked characters, along with Justin (wooden, and even worse actor then Felicity), Alf, a despicable character, Irene an interfering old busybody and Roo the neighbour you would hate to have. Love Marilyn, John, Mac. Liked Tane pre Felicity Loved Dean and Ziggy.

We're just at the eve of the second attempt at the Felicity /Tane wedding and I'm hoping a bomb will go off in Salt when they are in there. Do us all a favour.

Time to get rid of the deadwood and freshen it up before it gets really boring. Because unfortunately it's heading that way.

Still watchable
17 May 2023
I still watch Emmerdale even though some of the characters are dreadful. I can't stand Wendy, such an interfering old bag and boring with it. She is a horrible character with nothing going for her, can't believe she moved into the B&B and carries on as if she owns it without Bernice punching her into the mouth which she should do. The hypocrisy of most of them is unbelievable as are the story lines. The tart that was married to Paddy blows up over Mack and the baby, when she was carrying on for ages behind Paddy's back. Belle throws herself at everything in a pants. Mandy lusting after Paddy 😳. It could do with a massive clear out of characters.

Four in a Bed (2010– )

Easy watching
16 April 2023
I loved to watch this show. Some of the contestants make me want to tear my hair out, they are so rude and critical. They have any issue with the tiniest thing. A hair in the bed, I'm sorry but a hair can fall out just as you turn to leave the room, get over it. A cobweb isn't the end of the world and there's a big difference between dusty and dirty.

Also if I go to a B&B. I want a clean comfortable room with a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. I do not want or need my hosts to entertain me, nod do I want then constantly hanging around. If I need something I will ask for it.

It's ridiculous to have your hosting marked down on how you entertain your clients or because you are constantly hovering around the breakfast table.

Also these people book in as individuals/couples but complain if there is a delay in not serving them breakfast together. It should be on a first come first served basis as it would be if they were regular guests coming down to breakfast at different times.

A bit of mindless telly
9 August 2022
This is a bit of mindless TV to watch after a busy day. The only ones that seem to be some bit decent are Yolanda and Eileen. The others are thoroughly nasty bitches constantly sniping about each other and stirring trouble. Lisa Vanderpump is a class A tramp, totally condescending and playing one off the other. Has money but no class. As for her husband who hangs around like a bad smell, he has the personality of a goldfish. Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards are another two who make me glad I have my life and friends not theirs despite the money the have.

The Teacher (2022–2024)

Was ok
15 June 2022
This was watchable, just about. I stayed with it just to see what happened which I suppose is the whole point. I did not like the character Jenna so I found it hard to have any sympathy for her. She seemed to have what looked like a constant smirk on her face, and when in the school looked like she was constantly flirting and coming on to the lads. Her pretence that she didn't know Cleary was ridiculous. Her self righteousness towards him when she was able to believe that she could have had a sexual encounter with Kyle because of her drunkeness was laughable. Her pleading guilty was proof that she knew she was capable of it. She nearly had me feeling sorry for Cleary, which I don't think was the point.

Very average.

So farfetched
18 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just watching Coronation Street where there's an escaped criminal, a fatal traffic accident and half the street disappearing into a sink hole. How much more ridiculous can it get?? Get real, bring back the humour, it's downright dark now.

Livin' with Lucy (2008– )

Over the top
15 October 2021
Can't understand why anyone would entertain Paul Gascoigne. If someone who wasn't a good soccer player behaved the way he did, beating his wife, sexually assaulting women they would be vilified. Yet he appears on Living with Lucy. Typical Virgin media love in with "celebrities". With Lucy fawning over them as if she was their best friend. She is so cringe worthy it's embarrassing.

Spoilt

Spoilt and selfish. It was HER wedding, not theirs. Wonder are they still together because if she carried on as she started I don't hold out much hope. Her parents must be so embarrassed when they watch this.

It's not getting better
25 April 2021
The acting and story lines are absolute rubbish. It's difficult to pick out a member of the cast who can actually act. The faces Carol and Dolores make, they look like they're constantly in pain. It's a disgrace that RTÉ are actually funding this junk. Watching the Cian murder story now. Can they get it more wrong? Do they honestly expect believe that an inspector interviews suspects and on her own too. An absolute joke and that other 'Garda' is definitely Commissioner material, she's a dope but thinks she's brilliant. Get it right if ye're going to do it, otherwise don't bother insulting people's intelligence.

Now we have the "bleeding heart" Anna. Dear God. And Melanie is back 😭😭

Dreadful
6 April 2021
So unbelievable, more holes in it than a sieve. Should feel sorry for someone in her position but she comes across as a horrible, loathsome person. The only thing it has going for it is the fabulous Irish countryside. Don't waste four hours of your life watching it.

Only ok
21 March 2021
Just watched second episode. As usual the inaccuracies about a Garda investigation are ridiculous. Very slow paced. The music makes it seem as though it's building up to something actually happening, then it falls flat. Will see it through but not expecting too much from it. Hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful
24 January 2021
Having watched this and also seen the remake with Saoirse Ronan as Jo, in my opinion there is no comparison. The 1994 version is far, far superior, more beautiful. I couldn't stand Jo as portrayed by Ronan but loved Winona Ryder as Jo, far more likeable and believable. The film is absolutely beautiful.

Schmaltz

Connor is the most despicable, deplorable character with a face I'd love to punch, so childish and idiotic. Jess has a massive chip on her shoulder. Abby and Trace painful to watch. Grandmother's accent brutal, no one in Ireland speaks like that. The two children too perfect. The father and Kevin the most believable characters. Enjoyed it initially but got sick of it.
