So human it hurts
9 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was shocked when I saw the path Robbie was going through. I remember being a teenager and admiring him so much. I would have thought he was literally on top of the world in the late 2000s. He was talented, famous, good looking and having an amazing career. This series shows how all of that can mean literally nothing when you feel like a failure and depression hits you. His imposer syndrome was going so far. It surprised me how much a person can suffer while people are cheering for them. It's almost painful to watch at times but I've found it so profound. Especially during episode 3 where you can see 90.000 people in a stadium waiting for someone who actually feels like a loser. I find it so representative of human experiences towards fear and insecurities. It doesn't matter where you are, how successful you are. There's still a lot to do to believe in oneself.

Stutz (2022)

Useful, honest and just beautiful.
19 November 2022
This documentary is something else.

I've found it so special and yet so simple. This shows exactly how creative minds can make something extraordinary from just one apparently ordinary idea. I admire Jonah Hill so much after doing this. It's a risky choice to make a film about such a topic, but there are so many right decisions, not only on the script but also on the technical aspects of it, that the results are just amazing.

The endless search we all go through as humans is so honestly reflected and it's easy to relate to their struggles, to empathise with both Jonah and Stutz and to reflect about one's own issues.

I will definitely rewatch it and write down Stutz' tools for my own life. It feels like one could endlessly rewatch it to be honest.

Thank you for this film.

What happened to the last 7 years of feminism and sorority movements?
16 March 2022
I'm not sure if this is only something that you can see on the show or if it actually portrays Australian culture towards feminism. But it's seriously concerning how women are put to fight over boys and absolutely trash one another on this show.

This is 2022 but it looks like a show set in 2002. So outdated in terms of respect towards and among women.

I'm sure these type of competitions between women wouldn't even air in more progressive places (maybe I'm just wrong and it doesn't reflect the actual culture, but it's still worrying that things like those are still being written).

At the same time the show is so judgmental in terms of what to do or not do on a first date, when to kiss, when to take someone home. Give me a break, set the show in the current century and let people live as they want.

Excellent and definitely underrated
31 January 2021
Please watch this movie. It is as realistic as it can be. I am Argentinian and work in the court system and the reality of the characters, settings and social differences are outstandingly portrayed. The acting is great, from the main characters to the extras. It makes you feel like you are seeing reality through a window. The plot is beyond interesting and so real it actually hurts. This is (sadly) what happens in the real world. Just PERFECTLY DONE.

Nothing worse than the dialogues
31 January 2021
The acting is seriously bad but the screenplay is actually hurtful to hear. Not even one line the characters say is interesting. There is absolute no depth in them, just basic corny lines. There are so many talented people in Argentina, I don't know why the script had to be given to such bad writers.

A new Greg??? HORRIBLE decision
23 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Am I the only person who's terribly annoyed by Greg being portrayed by a new actor?? I've got this far on the show cause even when it makes me cringe at times, I understand that the style can be bizarre and it's pretty much what defines the whole series. But this is beyond. The fact that they have done something like this and that the new actor is even on further episodes is making me hate the show entirely. What a horrible decision, it makes absolute no sense. I don't understand how this episode is well-rated. Just painful to watch.
